A magnetic sensor including: a substrate with a main surface; at least two magnetoresistive effect elements formed on the main surface and connected to a power terminal of a bridge circuit; at least two magnetoresistive effect elements formed on the main surface and connected to a ground terminal of the bridge circuit; a first region in which one of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal and one of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are disposed; a second region in which another of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal and another of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are disposed; and a bias coil including a first bias application part for applying a bias magnetic field to the first region and a second bias application part for applying a bias magnetic field to the second region. Magnetosensitive directions of the two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal are the same, magnetosensitive directions of the two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are the same, and a difference between a cross-sectional area of the first bias application part and a cross-sectional area of the second bias application part is 35.4% or less.

Magnetic sensor, manufacturing method thereof, and current detector using the same

A magnetic sensor includes: a first current line, a second current line and a third current line that are disposed in parallel to each other in sequence in a width direction and electrically connected in series; and a magnetoresistive effect element disposed under the second current line and extending along a direction of extension of the second current line, the magnetoresistive effect element having an electric resistance that changes by an induced magnetic field generated by current flowing through the first current line, the second current line and the third current line, the following inequality expression (1) being satisfied:&#x2264;5&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)where Lis a length from an outside of the first current line to an outside of the third current line in a width direction, and Wis a length in the width direction of the magnetoresistive effect element.

Magnetic sensor

A magnetic sensor device that includes an annular magnetic body, a coil wound around the magnetic body, the coil configured to apply a magnetic field that rotates 360 degrees by a half way point in a peripheral direction of the magnetic body, and a magnetoresistance effect element arranged at a center of the annular magnetic body and including a fixed layer having a magnetization direction fixed in a direction of the magnetic field to be measured. The magnetic body includes a tapered portion located at a position where a line passing through the center of the magnetic body and extending in a shorter-axis direction intersects the magnetic body, the tapered portion having a narrowed portion narrowed down toward the magnetoresistance effect element, and having dumbbell-shaped inner and outer peripheries, and the narrowed portion having a width reduced toward the magnetoresistance effect element.

Magnetic sensor device for suppressing magnetic saturation

Provided is a magnetic sensor device capable of attenuating the intensity of the magnetic field to be applied to the magnetic sensor. A magnetic sensor device includes a magnetic sensor element which detects the intensity of a magnetic field in a predetermined detection axis direction, and a magnetic field attenuation body which includes a first magnetic field attenuation unit and a second magnetic field attenuation unit, each of the attenuation units having a surface and the surfaces being opposed to each other with the magnetic sensor element therebetween.

To realize an antenna device that can operate in wide bands (in a plurality of frequency bands) and can achieve an excellent antenna gain and maintain non-directivity of vertically polarized waves in each band in a space-saving manner, and also to provide a technique capable of maintaining mechanical reliability of the antenna device. An antenna device including; an approximately U-shaped conductor antenna, on one end side of which a power feeding portion is provided and on the other end side of which an end portion is provided as an open end terminal, and which has a folded-back portion; a base body made of an insulating material; a substrate on which said conductor antenna and said base body are mounted; conductor planes of said one end side and said the other end side of said conductor antenna constituted to be approximately perpendicular to each other; said base body being fixed on said substrate; at least said one end side of said conductor antenna being fixed on said base body; and said folded-back portion being fixed on said substrate.

Antenna device and wireless communication apparatus using the same

An antenna device is provided which is capable of saving space, of operating in wide bands (in a multi-band) and of achieving an excellent gain and maintaining non-directivity of vertically polarized waves in each band. The antenna device has a conductor antenna. An end portionon one end side of the conductor antenna is mounted as a power feeding section and an end portionon the other end side of the conductor antennais mounted as an open end terminal. The antenna device also has a base body made of an insulating material which is coupled to one end and other end of the conductor antenna. The base band is coupled in a place where an electric field strength of the conductor antenna having a folded-back portion is increased, thus achieving the wideband and high-gain antenna device.

An antenna device comprising (a) a mounting substrate having a ground portion and a non-ground portion, (b) a chip antenna mounted onto said non-ground portion, which comprises a substrate, a first radiation electrode formed on said substrate, a power-supplying electrode connected or not connected to the other end of said first radiation electrode, and a terminal electrode connected or not connected to one end of said first radiation electrode, and (c) at least one second radiation electrode formed in a conductor pattern on said non-ground portion, said second radiation electrode having one end connected or not connected to said terminal electrode and the other end which is an open end, and a cavity existing between said chip antenna and/or said second radiation electrode and said ground portion.

According to the present invention, a surface mount type chip antenna comprises a base made of a dielectric, magnetic substance or mixture thereof, at least one terminal portion provided on the mounted face of the base, a concave provided in the mounted face of the base except in the terminal portion, and at least one conductive wire wound around the base. Another feature is a surface mount type antenna device comprising a surface mount type chip antenna arranged in the vicinity of metallic functional components, and filter circuits connected to the power source side terminal of the metallic functional components.

A surface-mounted antenna comprising a substrate made of a high-dielectric constant material having a dielectric constant &#x2208;of 6 or more, a ribbon-shaped radiation electrode having one end which is grounded and the other end which is open, a grounding electrode connected or capacitance-coupled to one end of the radiation electrode, and a current-feeding electrode in a portal shape formed on a side surface separate from the radiation electrode with a gap; the current-feeding electrode having a current-feeding portion at one end, a grounding portion at the other end, and a portion substantially in alignment with the radiation electrode between them; and the length of the aligning portion, a gap width or a portal shape being able to be properly set such that capacitance owned by the current-feeding electrode and inductance can be adjusted for easily achieving impedance matching.
