A display control device for controlling a display unit in a vehicle, including a dedicated middleware that executes a program on a vehicle side, a general purpose middleware that executes general purpose application programs from an external of the vehicle, and an interface that exchanges necessary information between the dedicate middleware and the general purpose middleware, includes: an acquisition device that acquires vehicle information on a dedicated middleware side; a notification device that notifies a general purpose middleware side through the interface of a vehicle status based on the vehicle information; and an activation device that activates, on the general purpose middleware side, a target application program for realizing the display corresponding to the vehicle status among the general purpose application programs based on the vehicle status.

A touch panel operation device recognizes multiple kinds of operation events with respect to a touch panel with sufficient assurance and effectively restricts execution of processing not intended by a user. A gesture microcomputer detects a user's gesture with respect to a touch panel and notifies an HMI application of an operation signal corresponding to the detection. The HMI application determines an operation event from the operation signal notified by the gesture microcomputer. The notification is received in such a way that a present state of the touch panel is judged and the determination is made based on variation of the state and the like by monitoring the state.

A method of manufacturing large-sized laminated dielectrics of high quality which permit adjustment of the atmosphere during sintering process to be accomplished easily, and which can eliminate the problems such as expansion due to reaction with the atmosphere gas. When a laminated body , consisting of oxide dielectric layers and inner electrode layers having a base metal such as Cu as a main component, is sintered in a reducing atmosphere, a mixed gas having CO gas as a main component and containing optional amount of CO gas and O gas is used. By using the equilibrium system of CO &rlarr;2CO&plus;(1/2)O and adjusting the amounts of CO gas and O gas, oxygen partial pressure in the atmosphere gas can be easily and stably adjusted and fluctuation and variation in the atmosphere can be suppressed.
