Disclosed are a VoIP server apparatus and a method for maintaining VoIP server software in the server apparatus which transmits/receives a packet to/from an IP terminal via network to provide VoIP service. The method includes: assigning a virtual IP address to the server apparatus; associating a first IP address used by first VoIP server software with the virtual IP address; activating second VoIP server software while the first VoIP server software receives a packet addressed to the virtual IP address and provides VoIP service; changing the association of the virtual IP address with the first IP address to association of the virtual IP address with a second IP address used by the second VoIP server software; receiving a packet addressed to the virtual IP address by the second VoIP server software; and changing VoIP service by the first VoIP server software to VoIP service by the second VoIP server software.

The back-up device for an IP-PBX of the present invention is connected to each network. The private branch exchange is connected to an individual network to manage and hold the entire terminal device. The back-up device holds each terminal data of a group of terminal devices in a connected network. As a result, when connection management by the private branch exchange develops a failure, the back-up device secures connection management in the network to which the back-up device is connected. When the network or the private branch exchange itself develops a failure to disable control of an accommodated IP terminal, this arrangement enables the IP terminal to resume operation by temporarily shifting control of the IP terminal to the back-up device side, thereby minimizing stop time.

A biochip reader has a microlens plate having a plurality of microlenses, a light source which applies coherent light to the microlens plate as excitation light, a dichroic mirror which transmits or reflects outgoing light from the microlens plate, and reflects or transmits fluorescence occurring on a biochip, a photographing section, a lens which collects the light reflected or transmitted on the dichroic mirror into the photographing section, a barrier filter provided between the dichroic mirror and the photographing section, and a driving section which drives the microlens plate, wherein while the driving section drives the microlens plate, excitation light diverged or collected by the plurality of microlenses scans a surface of the biochip. Each of the microlenses having arbitrary size are provided on the microlens plate at arbitrary positions, An outgoing angle at each microlens of divergence light or collection light is limited to a narrow angle.

Hollow frame members (1, 11), having openings (2, 12) to hold a picture along its longitudinal direction, and having connection faces (3, 13) cut to 45.degree. at its ends, receive each insertable leg part of an L-shaped corner connection fitting (5, 15). The frame members (1, 11) connect to each other in perpendicular relationship to form a square form. One stage or two stage engaging means consisting of stoppers (6, 16) and stopper holes (4, 14) at the corner part of the frame members enable expansion of the frame surface, allowing for assembly or disassembly, and easier replacement of pictures. Spring parts or guides (7, 17) are formed on the corner connection fittings (5, 15), to eliminate looseness of the frame members, and to make insertion and withdrawal smoother. The stoppers (6, 16) can be formed as one body with the corner connection fittings (5, 15) with a resin having elasticity to make the manufacturing of the corner connection fitting easier. The frame is formed with a groundpaper base (18) at the opening part (2, 12) to make setting or changing of the puzzle or photo easier.
