A light transmitting type screen that enables the viewer to see through to its back side, when the screen is stuck on transparent object such as a show window or a transparent window glass or when it is used as a transparent object, and that is capable of forming clear images projected from a projected thereon is provided. The screen includes a light scattering layer having a front-scattering property, which is composed of spherical microparticles having a mean particle diameter in a certain range dispersed in a binder having a refraction index in a certain range. The light scattering layer is sandwiched between transparent objects such as high-molecular weight resin sheets or show window glass via an adhesive layer or the like.

See-through light transmitting type screen

A front scattering film capable of reducing backward scattering and providing a clear display is provided. The front scattering film comprises a light scattering layer composed of a transparent polymer binder and spherical microparticles dispersed in the binder and having a refractive index different from that of the binder, and substrates provided on the both sides of the light scattering layer, wherein at least one of the substrates is peelable from the light scattering layer. This front scattering film does not impair the function of the liquid crystal display unit by, for instance, affecting polarization, even it is used in a liquid crystal display unit in which a light scattering layer provided by the front scattering film is arranged between a retardation film or polarizer film and a liquid crystal layer.

Disclosed is a front scattering film which comprises a light scattering layer consisting of transparent polymer binder containing spherical microparticles , a transparent resin film and an adhesive layer , wherein the spherical microparticles have a mean particle diameter of 1.0 &mgr;m to 10.0 &mgr;m, and a refractive index (n) relative to refractive index of the transparent polymer binder satisfying a condition of 0.91<n<1.09, and the front scattering film has a haze of 30.0% or more and a distinctness of image of 60.0% or more. The front scattering film according to the present invention can exhibit excellent display characteristics including performance of exhibiting paper-like white in white state and black in black state, high contrast of image display, no blurring and the like, and realize extremely easy production control thereof.

A view angle control sheet comprising a non-oriented light permeable polymer layer having cracks of regular directionality is disclosed. The view angle control sheet of the present invention has good view angle control property and can easily be obtained at low cost. The sheet having good view angle control property with respect to two or more directions can also easily be obtained as required at low cost. The view angle control sheet of the present invention can be used in office equipment displays, automobile meters, outdoor displays, windows and the like to desirably control view angles.

A reflection screen includes a light-reflecting substrate laminated with a light-transmitting polymer layer having light absorptive crazes of regular directionality. The reflection screen is formed by coating or laminating the light-reflecting layer on the substrate, drawing over a blade in a direction perpendicular to the blade to form the crazes and inserting a light-absorbing material into the crazes. Images projected on the reflection screen have high contrast and can be observed as sharp images even in a lighted area such as in a room lighted by fluorescent lighting.

A light reflecting material having a reflecting layer comprising barium sulfate, titanium dioxide and a binder resin. When the light reflecting material of the present invention is used as a reflector of a lighting panel of edge light type, it efficiently causes light to enter into a light conducting plate and hence high brightness of the lighting panel can be obtained. High brightness is also obtained when it is used as a light reflecting material of backlight systems and illumination signboards.

The image-forming material comprises a roughened plastics film substrate and a transparent resin layer, colored resin layer, photosensitive resin layer and protective layer formed one over another (in the order mentioned) on the roughened surface of the substrate, said four layers being so designed as un-exposed part thereof to be removed completely by dissolution or swelling during development after exposure to active rays. It permits the formation of a colored relief image without any dyeing step and gives rise to a good image free of base fogging without causing any decrease in printing sensitivity. The process for forming images comprises exposing the above-mentioned image-forming material to active rays and subsequently developing the exposed image-forming material with two kinds of developing solutions consecutively, thereby forming a colored positive relief image on the roughened plastics film substrate, said development causes the un-exposed parts of the transparent resin layer, colored resin layer, photosensitive resin layer and protective layer to be removed by dissolution or swelling.

The product is provided a non-silver-salt type photosensitive recording material superior in both workability and stability with time.
