An absolute encoder configured to, when a rotation range of a measurement target member is limited by a brake mechanism, generate an AB-phase signal and a Z-phase signal for calculating a rotation angle of the measurement target member. The absolute encoder includes a brake mechanism, a plurality of Z-phase-signal-detection-target portions each having a Z-phase-signal-rise-detection-target portion and a Z-phase-signal-fall-detection-target portion, a plurality of AB-phase-signal-detection-target portions each located between a Z-phase-signal-rise-detection-target portion and a Z-phase-signal-fall-detection-target portion that are adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction, to thereby form a plurality of restriction ranges each including at least one of the Z-phase-signal-rise-detection-target portions and at least one of the Z-phase-signal-fall-detection-target portions. An interval in the circumferential direction between a Z-phase-signal-rise-detection-target portion and a Z-phase-signal-fall-detection-target portion that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction is different among the plurality of restriction ranges.

Absolute encoder

A gearbox of a twin clutch includes dog portions of a movable gear and a fixed gear which may be disengaged and re-engaged with each other. A control device for a vehicle including the twin clutch includes a shift actuator control unit that, when shifting a gear to another speed, outputs a target position signal so as to shift a rotation position of a shift actuator to a gear shift position at which a gear shift operation is performed by a transmission, and a clutch control unit that outputs torque signals so as to connect a clutch that transmits power to, among movable gears and fixed gears, a movable gear or a fixed gear including a dog portion to be disengaged. The shift actuator control unit outputs the target position signal so as to return the rotation position of the shift actuator to a neutral position.

A vehicle control apparatus includes a target value determination unit to determine a target engine torque, a target value restriction unit to restrict a target engine torque such that an output torque becomes smaller than a load torque input from a torque transmission path to an engine when a rotation speed of the engine exceeds a threshold, and a restriction release unit to release a restriction on the target engine torque before an inertia phase is started during a gear change period.

A vehicle control apparatus includes an opening degree determination unit that determines the opening degree of a throttle valve based on an accelerator operation amount, and a change suppression unit that reduces a time rate of changing of the opening degree of the throttle valve in a gear change period with a decrease of the rotation speed of the engine, when the opening degree of the throttle valve is changed from a value at which an output torque is greater than a load torque input from a transmission path to an engine toward a boundary value where the output torque is equal to the load torque.
