A scroll type compressor including a fixed scroll, a movable scroll engaged with the fixed scroll, and a hermetically sealed container in which the fixed scroll and the movable scroll are mounted. A scroll type compressor includes a fixed scroll having a suction opening, a movable scroll, a hermetically sealed container having an upper cap, and a suction pipe that penetrates through the upper cap and is engagedly fitted through an O ring in the suction opening of the fixed scroll at a lower portion thereof. A compressor comprises, in a container body, an electric element, and a compressive element driven by the electric element. An oil storage is provided in the bottom, and an oil pump is provided to suck up oil from the oil storage. The oil pump includes a cylinder fixed to a lower support frame, a rotator axially installed on the lower end of a driveshaft and operative to rotate within an inner space of the cylinder, and a suction pipe having an upper end connected to a communication notch formed in the cylinder and a lower end inserted and arranged in the oil storage. In this compressor, the upper end of the suction pipe is protruded into the communication notch of the cylinder to configure an oil residue pool.

A compressor comprises an oil storage provided in the bottom of a container body. An oil cup is fixed in communication with the oil storage. An oil pump is attached to the lower end of a shaft and inserted into the oil cup. A rotation inhibitor is provided including a plurality of plates each having one end fixed to the inner wall of the oil cup and the other end disposed almost vertically toward the central axis of the oil cup. The plate has an upper end located in the vicinity of the upper edge of the oil cup, a lower end located in the vicinity of the bottom of the oil cup, and side ends located in the vicinity of the outer wall of the oil pump.

It is desired to avoid lack of lubricant oil in any of a plurality of compressors disposed in parallel in a single refrigerant circuit. To achieve this result, a freezer unit is provided, wherein a first kind of oil return pipe leading to a refrigerant suction pipe of a first compressor from an oil separator installed in a discharged refrigerant junction pipe is installed, and a second kind of oil return pipe leading to a refrigerant suction pipe of a second compressor from the regular oil level height of the first compressor is utilized.

A high-performance scroll compressor permits the prevention of the deformation of an end plate of a fixed scroll in a hermetically sealed vessel of a typical wall thickness and strength, thus obviating the need for increasing the wall thickness of the vessel or employing a material of higher strength to enhance the pressure resistance of the vessel. A partition is provided between the rear surface of the fixed scroll and the hermetically sealed vessel, and a hole of the partition is communicated with a discharge hole in the end plate of the fixed scroll. A covering member is mounted on the partition to form a muffler, and a discharge pipe is attached to the muffler.

A high-performance compressor is capable of preventing inadequate oil feed even if the compressor tilts or foams and it is also capable of reducing the amount of oil discharged. The compressor has a compression element and an electric element housed in a hermetically sealed vessel, the interior of the hermetically sealed vessel being divided into an oil reservoir chamber and a hermetically sealed chamber. Two oil pumps are mounted on one end of a rotary shaft and oil is sucked into one of the oil pumps from the oil reservoir chamber and fed to the compression element mounted on the other end of the rotary shaft; oil is sucked into the other oil pump from the hermetically sealed chamber and fed to the oil reservoir chamber.

A multicylinder rotary compressor capable of performing high performance capacity control operation without the need for an external piping or for a thicker partition plate which leads to a taller rotary compressing element or a longer bearing span of a bearing. The multicylinder rotary compressor has a rotary compressing element housed in a hermetic enclosure; wherein the rotary compressing element is equipped with an intermediate partition plate, a cylinder provided on each side of the partition plate, a rotary shaft having eccentric sections which are shifted relative to each other by 180 degrees in the direction of shaft rotation, rollers fitted onto the eccentric sections of the rotary shaft and which rotate in the cylinders, and bearings which seal the cylinders. A first aperture is provided in the inner wall of each of the two cylinders, a second aperture is provided in each of the two cylinders to communicate with the respective cylinder first aperture, and a third aperture in the intermediate partition plate to communicate with the two second apertures. A gas which is being compressed in one cylinder flows, via the first, second, and third apertures, into the other cylinder which is in an intake stroke.
