A welding method heats and pressurizes a contacting portion, where a first member and a second member made of resin are in contact with each other, by a pressing tool. The welding method has forming a step, forming a recessed portion, crushing a protrusion, and filling the recessed portion. The step is defined between the first member and the second member by providing the protrusion to the first member. The recessed portion is provided in a tip of the pressing tool. The protrusion of the first member is crushed in the recessed portion by being pressed toward the second member using the pressing tool. The recessed portion is filled with the molten portion of the first member and the molten portion of the second member such that a rim of an outer periphery of the recessed portion is dug into the first member and the second member.

Welding method

A method for producing a bonded body of ceramic and metal bodies includes stacking a ceramic body, metal body, gap layer capable of preventing oxidation and hindering heat conduction, first intermediate layer and second intermediate layer with the gap layer between the ceramic body and the metal body in the stacking direction. The first intermediate layer is between the ceramic body and gap layer, and the second intermediate layer is between the gap layer and metal body, linear expansion coefficients of the first and second intermediate layers being between those of the ceramic body and the metal body. Diffusion bonding is performed between the ceramic body and the first intermediate layer, and between the metal body and the second intermediate layer simultaneously. The gap layer is then removed from between the first and second intermediate layers. The first and second intermediate layers are then bonded to each other.

Method for producing bonded body

A rotation detector includes a semiconductor chip, a nonmagnetic case body, a biasing permanent magnet and a nonmagnetic cap fixed to the case body, wherein the case body has a joint surface, and the cap has an inside surface in contact with the joint surface. A method of manufacturing the rotation detector includes the following steps: assembling the semiconductor chip, the case body and the biasing permanent magnet into a unit; forming at least one groove adjacent to the joint surface so as to form a space between the joint surface and the inside surface when the cap is fixed to the case body; fixing the cap to the case body so that the inside surface of the cap can be in contact with the joint surface; irradiating a laser beam at portions behind the inside surface of the cap under a prescribed pressure to melt materials of the case body and the cap and to make melted materials flow to the space; and cooling the melted materials to re-crystallize.

Acceptance/rejection of a deposition condition is judged by detecting an exothermic quantity of a deposition portionby using an infrared beam sensorduring laser deposition of a resin materialhaving transmissibility to a laser beam and a resin materialhaving absorptivity to the laser beam L. The exothermic condition of the deposition portion is detected by using an infrared beam sensor matching with a wavelength of an infrared beam having a high transmission factor from infrared beam transmission characteristics of the transmissible resin to judge whether or not suitable energy is applied to the deposition portion and whether or not the deposition portion is formed. The exothermic quantity of the transmissible resin is detected by an infrared beam sensorA to judge acceptance or rejection of the deposition portion even when the applied energy changes.

A metal mold is prepared, which has a gate, a cavity in which a virtual curve is formed, which forms at least a welding target part of a laser beam transmitting member along the virtual curve, and in which a filling terminal wall is formed along a curve parallel to the virtual curve, and a throttle part for reducing the flow of a resin flowing from the gate toward the cavity, which is connected to the cavity, and whose connection boundary is formed along a curve parallel to the virtual curve. Method for manufacturing laser beam transmitting member capable of preventing poor laser welding, resin molding apparatus and method for manufacturing composite resin product

A method for manufacturing a resin mold includes the steps of: attaching a transmitting resin member capable of transmitting a laser beam and an absorbing resin member capable of absorbing the laser beam; and irradiating the laser beam on an interface between the transmitting resin member and the absorbing resin member from a surface of the transmitting resin member so that a welding spot is formed on the interface and the transmitting resin member and the absorbing resin member are welded. The laser beam is irradiated homogeneously on the interface by a homogenizer so that a center portion of the welding spot and an outer portion of the welding spot are heated homogeneously by the laser beam.

Resin mold and method for manufacturing the same

A throttle valve and a throttle shaft are welded to each other. Here, the throttle valve is made of resin material having a transmission property for a laser beam and includes a convex portion on a surface thereof irradiated by the laser beam. By contrast, the throttle shaft is made of resin material having a absorption property for a laser beam. The throttle valve and the throttle shaft are disposed so that their mutual portions to be welded face each other. Laser beams are radiated from the surface of the throttle valve to the mutual portions to be welded so that the convex portion is included in a part of an irradiated region.

Laser welding method, laser welding structure, and throttle valve device

A gear pump having an inner rotor and an outer rotor is covered by a cylindrical outer casing and side casings. The cylindrical outer casing has two outer circumferential edges which are welded over the entire circumference thereof to the outer edges of the side casings, respectively. The outer casing has two angularly spaced recesses in its inner periphery for receiving slide seals therein. Welding is started at a welding start point which is 90 degrees spaced from the middle point between two recesses. During welding, welding energies are applied to the welding start point and the middle point between two recesses. Those energies tend to deform the casing into oval shapes that are 90 degrees out of phase from each other. Thus, these energies cancel each other, thereby preventing the casing from being deformed.
