Aspects of the disclosure provide an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus has a first conveying path and a second conveying path which joins the first conveying path. The image forming apparatus includes an actuator configured to be pivoted by a recording sheet conveyed through the first conveying path. The image forming apparatus further includes ribs disposed adjacent to the actuator in an axial direction of the actuator. The image forming apparatus has a first recess which faces at least one of the ribs and is recessed in a direction opposite to the conveying direction.

Image forming apparatus

A sheet conveyer device including a sheet container tray and a guide member to restrict a position of edges of the sheets is provided. The sheet container tray includes a first engagement section. The guide member includes an arm part and a first engageable part being engageable with the first engagement section. One of the first engagement section and the first engageable part is formed to have a concave structure, and the other one of the first engagement section and the first engageable part is formed to have a convex structure. A first plane in the concave structure, which becomes slidably in contact with the convex structure when the guide member is moved in a pointing direction, is formed to incline in a more moderate angle than an angle of a second plane in the concave structure, which becomes separated from the convex structure.

Sheet conveyer device

An image forming apparatus is provided that includes a swing member swinging between a first position where a force for moving a pressing plate upward is transmitted to the pressing plate and a second position where transmission of the force is interrupted, a latchet mechanism that forbids the pressing plate to move downward and includes a latchet gear rotating in conjunction with a motion of the pressing plate and a latching member that is movably attached to the swing member and configured to forbid rotation of the latchet gear by engaging with the latchet gear, and a pressing member that applies a pressing force to the latching member when the swing member is in the second position and does not apply the pressing force to the latching member, and render the latching member movable relative to the swing member when the swing member is in the first position.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part; a paper dust collecting roller that collects paper dust from a sheet; a conveying roller that is opposed to the paper dust collecting roller and conveys the sheet; a paper dust removing member that contacts the paper dust collecting roller for removing the paper dust therefrom; a supporting member that extends in a width direction of the sheet; a swing shaft for swinging the supporting member; and a pressing member that presses the supporting member for contacting the paper dust removing member with the paper dust collecting roller. The supporting member includes: a guiding surface that contacts the sheet conveyed along the conveying path for guiding the sheet toward the image forming part along the conveying path; and a paper dust receiving part which receives the paper dust removed by the paper dust removing member.

Image forming apparatus and sheet feeding device

An image forming device includes a first device body, a second device body attached to the first device body, a photoconductive body provided in the first device body, an exposure unit provided to the second device body, the exposure unit having an exposure surface that exposes the photoconductive body and forms a latent image on the photoconductive body, the exposure unit being movable between an exposure position and an evacuation position, and a cleaning unit cleaning the exposure surface of the exposure unit. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning member cleaning the exposure surface, a supporting member supporting the cleaning member, and a guide member movably guiding the supporting member. The exposure unit is disposed such that the exposure surface is cleaned by the cleaning unit when the exposure unit is moved to the evacuation position.
