A display device includes a display extending in first and second direction and having a first frame, and a second frame. The first frame forms a first end face extending along the first direction and a second end face extending along the first direction on a side opposite to the first end face. The first end face includes a first protrusion. The second frame extends in a frame-like shape in the first direction and the second direction, and includes a first inner face extending along the first direction and a second inner face extending along the first direction on a side opposite to the first inner face. The first inner face includes a first claw portion fittable to the first protrusion, and a first contact member capable of abutting on the second end face is located at a position on the second inner face corresponding to the first claw portion.

Display device

A display apparatus includes an optical member with translucency, a transmissive member, an electro-optical member, and a housing. The optical member includes a front surface corresponding to an observation side and a back surface lying behind the front surface. The transmissive member is provided on a peripheral edge of the back surface of the optical member. The transmissive member has a transmittance of 5% or more. The electro-optical member is provided on a side of the back surface of the optical member. The electro-optical member has optical characteristics varying with applied voltage. The housing includes a protruding portion. The protruding portion covers an end portion of the electro-optical member and protrudes toward the back surface of the optical member. An end portion of the transmissive member is located between an end portion of the optical member and the protruding portion.

Display apparatus

A display device is configured to be installed in a vehicle. The display device includes: a display on which a rear image of the vehicle is configured to be displayed; a reflectance control device configured to change a reflectance of incident light; and a control circuit configured to control the reflectance. The reflectance control device includes a first part and a second part, with the first part being positioned in a first region overlapping a display surface of the display when viewed in a normal direction, and the second part being positioned in a second region surrounding the first region when viewed in the normal direction. When the rear image of the vehicle is not displayed, the control circuit controls the reflectance control device such that a second reflectance of the second part is lower than a first reflectance of the first part.

Display device and control circuit

A display device according to the present disclosure includes an optical member, a first electro-optical member, a housing, and an adhesive layer. The optical member has translucency and has a back surface including a first region and a second region outside the first region. The first electro-optical member is disposed on a back surface side of the optical member, has an optical characteristic changed with voltage application, and has a back surface including a third region and a fourth region outside the third region. The housing is disposed on the back surface side of the optical member and outside the first electro-optical member, and has a protruding portion extending along the back surface of the first electro-optical member. The adhesive layer is disposed between the third region and the protruding portion.

A display device installed in a vehicle includes a display, a reflectance control device, and a control circuit. The reflectance control device is capable of changing a reflectance for incident light. The control circuit controls the reflectance of the reflectance control device. The reflectance control device includes a first part and a second part. The first part is positioned in a first region overlapping the display surface when viewed in a normal direction being normal to the display surface. The second part is positioned in a second region surrounding the first region when viewed in the normal direction of the display surface. The control circuit controls a reflectance of the second part based on at least one of speed information indicating a speed of the vehicle and reverse information indicating whether the vehicle is reversing.
