A coordinate input device of the present invention includes a base having a deformation sensor; a stick that stands upright with a specified height from the base; a rubber cap that can be press-fitted on the stick; and a pressure sensor that can be controlled by pushing a control section formed at the upper end of the rubber cap. The rubber cap has a dome-shaped cavity in the control section. When the control section is pushed, the cavity is elastically deformed to make the pressure sensor operative.

Coordinate input device

A terminal structure for a surface mount electronic part including a terminal holding member formed from a synthetic resin, and external terminal extending from the terminal holding member for soldering to soldering lands of a printed wiring board. Each of the external terminals is held on the terminal holding member such that a straight portion projects laterally from the terminal holding member and is restricted direction (i.e., in width and thickness directions). The outermost tip portion of each external terminal includes an offset portion which is stepped downwards relative to the straight portion of the external terminal includes an offset portion which is stepped downwards relative to the straight portion of the external terminal and which is formed by half punching. The offset portion is provided for soldering to a soldering land of the printed wiring board. A region of the lower surface of the offset portion of each external terminal, which is continuous with a front end surface of the offset portion, is beveled to form an inclined surface such that the thickness of the offset portion decreases toward the front end surface.

A pin contact of a connector and a method of fabricating the pin contact which enables a substantial decrease of manufacturing cost, and smooth installation of the pin connector without a change in the pitch of arrangement at the time of press-fitting into a pin housing. A flat metal sheet undergoes blanking and pressing to form a narrow piece including a strip portion of decreased area of a fracture. Then an approximately L-shaped connecting portion is bent at right angles to raise the narrow piece sideways. Thereafter the strip portion of the narrow piece is pressed along the direction of rising, to thereby form an approximately cylindrical contact section. A raised piece at the rear of the contact section is provided with a locking section which faces approximately at right angles with the direction of arrangement.

Method of fabricating connector pin contact

A PC card connector in which a plurality of pin contacts are secured in a pin housing in a predetermined arrangement such that each of the plurality of pin contacts has a long and narrow terminal end protruding out from the pin housing. The front end portion of each terminal end is soldered onto a mounting surface of a printed board. The PC card connector includes first and second pin holders secured to the pin housing such that bottom surfaces of the pin holders are positioned opposite the mounting surface of the printed board, each of the first and second pin holders having a number of parallel guide grooves for receiving the terminal ends of the plurality of pin contacts. The bottom surfaces of the first and second pin holders are in resilient contact with the front end portions of the terminal ends, and the first and second pin holders are secured to the pin housing such that they are disposed, respectively, at the front and at the back of the pin housing, respectively, along the direction of insertion and removal of a PC card.

PC card connector

A PC card wherein a housing of a socket connector is provided with a guide boss and a stopper protruding on the circuit board side, and with a cutout for fitting the guide boss in the circuit board. In this cutout the guide boss is fitted to position the socket connector in the direction of x. And the forward end of this stopper is held in contact with the circuit board to position in the direction of y, thus facilitating positioning of a socket connector in relation to a circuit board without a fear of socket connector displacement in subsequent processes.

PC card

A PC card connector has an injection mechanism which is improved so as to make it possible to push a PC card in a substantially straightforward direction, in which the PC card is withdrawn, without converting rotary motion into linear motion. The PC card connector is further improved so as to be able to assure the constant smooth withdrawal of the PC card without the need of a complicated or large-sized structure. The PC card connector is provided with a push rod which is pressed to remove the PC card, an eject lever which is supported by a first fulcrum in a pivotal manner, and which has one end engaged with the push rod and has a first claw at the other end to eject the PC card, and a rotary arm which is supported by a second fulcrum in a pivotal manner and has at one end a second claw to eject the PC card, and which has the other end connected to a predetermined location in the eject lever. In this PC card connector, the predetermined location is defined on the opposite side to the first claw with respect to the first fulcrum.

Pc card connector

A push-button switch which eliminates a dispersion in on and off timings thereof is disclosed. The push-button switch has a pressing spring, and a switch element which includes a pressing piece, a fixed contact element and a movable contact element. The movable contact element is contacted with the fixed contact element when an acting projection of the pressing spring press against a movable contact element pressing portion at an end of a leg portion of the pressing piece. The movable contact element pressing portion of the pressing piece gradually narrows towards its end, and is of substantially the same thickness of material as the leg portion thereof. The gradually narrowing movable contact element pressing portion of the pressing piece is in a contiguous relationship to the leg portion has a projection provided on a surface thereof for contacting with the acting projection of the pressing spring and has a rib provided on the opposite face thereof for pressing against the movable contact element.

A push-button switch with uniform on and off timings

A push button switch includes a case consisting of an upper case member and a lower case member, a stem vertically movably provided in the case, and a switch element for effecting on-and-off operation of the switch by vertical movement of the stem. A holding structure for the switch element has a first projection formed at an upper end of a frame of the switch element, a second projection formed around a terminal of the switch element, a projection insert hole formed through the upper case member and engaged with the first projection, and a terminal insert hole formed through the lower case member and engaged with the second projection.
