The electronic component includes an element body having a mounting surface, an upper surface opposing the mounting surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface adjacent to the first side surface, and an outer conductor including a first portion extending along the first side surface and embedded in the element body so as to be exposed from the first side surface. The element body has a first chamfered portion at a corner portion connecting the upper surface and the first side surface, and a length of the first chamfered portion is longer than a thickness of the first portion of the outer conductor in a direction substantially orthogonal to the first side surface.

Electronic component

An inductor component includes an element body, a coil provided in the element body, and an outer electrode provided to the element body and electrically connected to the coil. The outer electrode includes an underlying layer embedded in the element body in which part of the underlying layer protrudes from a surface of the element body, and a coating film that covers a portion of the underlying layer exposed at the element body.

Inductor component

An inductor component includes an element body including insulating layers laminated on one another, and a coil conductor layer winding on a main surface of one of the insulating layers. The coil conductor layer contains sulfur.

An inductor includes a coil that is provided in a component body. A first end of the coil is connected to a first outer electrode, and a second end of the coil is connected to a second outer electrode. The coil includes a plurality of coil conductor layers that are provided in a width direction. Each coil conductor layer is substantially spirally formed with the number of turns being greater than or equal to about one turn. The height of the component body is greater than the width of the component body.

Inductor

An inductor component includes an element assembly having a first surface and a second surface located opposite to the first surface, a first direction-distinguishing layer disposed on the first surface, and a second direction-distinguishing layer disposed on the second surface. The first direction-distinguishing layer has a first cavity passing through in the thickness direction. The second direction-distinguishing layer has a second cavity passing through in the thickness direction. The element assembly has a first exposed portion that is part of the element assembly and that is exposed in the first cavity and has a second exposed portion that is part of the element assembly and that is exposed in the second cavity. The first amount of protrusion of the first exposed portion protruding in the thickness direction is less than the second amount of protrusion of the second exposed portion protruding in the thickness direction.

An inductor component includes an element body, a coil provided in the element body, and an outer electrode provided at the element body and electrically connected to the coil. The element body includes a bottom surface that faces the mounting substrate when the element body is mounted, the outer electrode includes an underlying layer and a coating film that covers the underlying layer. At the bottom surface of the element body, the underlying layer is embedded in the element body and does not protrude from the element body, and at least part of the coating film is embedded in the element body.

Inductor component and electronic component

An electronic component having: a laminate formed by laminating a plurality of insulator layers; and a coil consisting of linear coil conductor layers that are laminated along with the insulator layers, the coil having a spiral form or a helical form that windingly extends in a direction of lamination. In a cross section perpendicular to a direction in which the coil conductor layers extend, the coil conductor layers have recesses provided in their surfaces directed toward an inner circumference side of the coil, the recesses being set back toward an outer circumference side of the coil.
