A multi-antenna device includes a grounding plate, a first antenna and a second antenna. The first antenna includes a first feed element that is grounded to the grounding plate via a first feed point. The second antenna includes a second feed element that is grounded to the grounding plate via a second feed point. Polarization planes of the first and second antennas intersect at a predetermined angle.

A multi-antenna device includes a grounding plate, a first antenna and a second antenna. A plurality of servers each transmit data of an initial screen to be displayed on a display screen of radio equipment at a predetermined time interval. The radio equipment is in a reception waiting mode until it is connected to any one of the servers, and is performing channel scanning. Once the data of the initial screen transmitted from any one of the servers is received by the radio equipment, the radio equipment displays the initial screen on the display screen based on the received data. When an operation of a connection instruction is performed on the initial screen, the radio equipment is connected to the server corresponding to the initial screen.

There is provided a surveillance device capable of transmitting an operation history of an appliance and image data while suppressing an increase in data transmission cost. A surveillance camera includes a control unit controlling an operation of the surveillance camera, a light receiving unit receiving an infrared signal transmitted from a remote controller, converting the infrared signal into an electric signal and sending the electric signal to the control unit, a storage unit storing image data, an image capturing unit performing an image capturing operation and sending an image signal generated by the image capturing operation to the storage unit, a time keeping unit generating time information concerning the surveillance camera and sending the information to the control unit, and a communication unit outputting data sent from the control unit to an external device.

Surveillance device

A terminal and an information relay apparatus allowing automatic setup for wireless connection without requiring setup operation by the user and capable of preventing information leakage when used at home are provided. A wireless LAN terminal communicates with a wireless access point relaying information to and from a communication apparatus constituting a communication network. Wireless LAN terminal includes an ROM, an optical communication block, a communication unit, and a CPU. The optical communication block is for optical communication. Communication unit is for communication by radio signal. CPU causes the optical communication unit to transmit a start request signal. After transmission of the start request signal, when the optical communication block receives an information request signal, CPU causes the optical communication block to transmit identification information stored in ROM. After the optical communication block transmits the identification information, CPU causes the communication unit to transmit log-in request and the like.

Terminal and information relay apparatus

A remote control device capable of controlling a plurality of apparatuses is provided. The remote control device includes an external slit portion, an internal slit portion, a light receiving element, and a control circuit. The external slit portion and internal slit portion are arranged such that a prolonged line of each opening crosses a reception region of the light receiving element. The light receiving element is connected to the control circuit via a signal line. The external slit portion is formed such that the opening is located vertically when the remote control device is operated. The internal slit is formed such that the longitudinal direction of the opening is placed vertically when the remote control device is operated.

Remote control device

For an information terminal to be operated by users for collecting predetermined pieces of information from remote information devices by free-space optical communication, the present invention provides a technique for suppressing the power consumption of the information terminal by minimizing the amount of calculation performed to collect the aforementioned information. According to the present invention, each information device emits ID light on which a low-frequency pilot signal is superimposed. The information terminal captures a series of frames of images including the ID light and locates the ID light within the images by the following steps: (1) creating multiple levels of binned images having different resolutions for each frame of the image; (2) calculating an evaluation index for each pixel within a target range of the binned images at each level, from the lowest to the highest resolution, where the target range is narrowed every time the process switches over to a lower level. In (2), the evaluation index is calculated by an evaluation function including fast Fourier transformation performed throughout the series of frames of images. The evaluation index thus calculated is compared with a threshold to determine whether the pixel concerned is receiving ID light. The present technique significantly reduces the number of pixel to be analyzed and evaluated, thereby decreasing the total number of arithmetic operations to be performed using the evaluation function. Thus, the power consumption is suppressed.
