An object of the present disclosure is to provide a cellulose acetate film having excellent bending properties and high transparency. The subject cellulose acetate film contains cellulose acetate having a cellulose triacetate I crystal structure, the cellulose acetate film having a light transmittance of 70% or higher at 660 nm.

An object of the present invention is to provide cellulose acetate that has excellent compatibility with a resin, can reinforce a resin, and has excellent thermal stability. An embodiment of the present invention is cellulose acetate having a cellulose triacetate I crystal structure, wherein a temperature at which a weight loss relative to weight at 100&#xb0; C. reaches 5% is 200&#xb0; C. or higher when the cellulose acetate is heated at a heating rate of 10&#xb0; C./min under a nitrogen atmosphere.

Disclosed herein is cellulose acetate fibers that have an excellent affinity for resins and is capable of reinforcing resins. The cellulose acetate fibers have a cellulose triacetate I crystal structure and a number-average fiber diameter of 2 nm or more but 400 nm or less.
