A throttling device is equipped with a valve seat in which a valve port for connecting a primary chamber and a secondary chamber is formed, a needle valve, a needle section which is inserted into the valve port, a guide section for guiding a slide shaft of the needle valve, and a coil spring for biasing the needle valve in a valve-closing direction. The guide section and the coil spring are positioned on the primary chamber side. The coil spring is covered by a stopper section. A gap between the stopper section and a main body case functions as a main body path for delivering a refrigerant from the primary chamber to the valve port.

Throttle device and refrigeration cycle system with same

A throttling device is equipped with a valve seat in which a valve port for connecting a primary chamber and a secondary chamber is formed, a needle valve, a needle section which is inserted into the valve port, a guide section for guiding a slide shaft of the needle valve, and a coil spring for biasing the needle valve in a valve-closing direction. The guide section and the coil spring are positioned on the primary chamber side. The position of the needle valve in the valve-closing direction is restricted by a stopper section in a manner such that the minimum gap between the needle valve and the valve port is maintained. Furthermore, the needle valve is not seated on the valve seat.

In a throttle device, a body portion has a flat surface at a position at a predetermined distance from its center axis. Thus, when a needle member is moving, a working pressure of a refrigerant present between an inner peripheral surface of a guide tube and the flat surface acts in a radial direction of the body portion and presses part of an outer peripheral surface of the body portion located opposite from the flat surface against the inner peripheral surface of the guide tube.

In a throttle device, a needle member () includes a tapered portion (P) having a taper angle (&#x3b8;), and a length (X) along a center axis from a position (PS) to an apical surface of the tapered portion (P) is set to a value equal to or above a prescribed amount of lift (L'&#xd7;cos&#x3b8;), where the position (PS) is a position corresponding to an edge () of a valve port () in a state where the tapered portion (P) is inserted in the valve port () and establishes a closed state of the valve port ().

Throttle device, and refrigeration cycle system including same

A throttle device to decompress a refrigerant and to deliver the refrigerant to an evaporator, may have an opening level of a needle valve controlled following a condensation pressure. Inside a case including a primary chamber connected to the condenser and a secondary chamber connected to the evaporator, a valve seat formed with a port and a guide integral to the valve seat are provided. A spring to energize the needle valve toward the port side is provided inside the guide. The guide guides the needle valve along a line allowing an opening level of the port to be variable. A space between the guide and the case forms a channel to deliver the refrigerant from the port to the secondary chamber. A rear space of the needle valve within the guide forms an intermediate chamber. An intermediate channel introduces the refrigerant from the port into the intermediate chamber.

Throttle device

Provided is a throttle device to decompress a refrigerant cooled by a condenser in a refrigerating cycle and to deliver the refrigerant to an evaporator, where a minimum space between a needle valve and a valve port can be accurately set. Inside a cylindrical main body case including a primary chamber connected to the condenser and a secondary chamber connected to the evaporator, a valve seat member formed with a valve port and a cylindrical guide member integral to the valve seat member are provided. A coil spring to energize the needle valve toward the valve port side is provided inside the guide member. A needle portion of the needle valve protrudes from the valve port toward the primary chamber. A tip portion of the needle portion abuts against a stopper member and the tip portion is thereby positioned.

A ball valve and a valve shaft are in a valve chamber. The ball valve opens and closes a valve port. A coil spring arranged in a spring chamber pushes the valve shaft against a diaphragm via a spring bracket of the valve shaft. A cone portion and a flat portion (or a concave portion) inside the cone portion are on the diaphragm. A diaphragm-side end face of the valve shaft is larger in diameter than the flat portion of the diaphragm. When the diaphragm is initially deformed, a boundary portion interposed between the cone portion and the flat portion abuts on the diaphragm-side end face.
