A poultry raising system includes: an imaging unit configured to capture an image of an inside of a poultry house; and a monitoring unit configured to determine a variation in density of chickens present in a particular region in the image captured by the imaging unit, and monitor the variation determined. The particular region is at least part of the image.

A radio wave sensor includes a transmitting antenna configured to radiate radio waves, a receiving antenna configured to receive incoming radio waves, and a housing that is composed of dielectric material and faces the transmitting and receiving antennas. The housing has a first part that faces the transmitting antenna, a second part that faces the receiving antenna, and a third part between the first and second parts. An object of the present invention is to provide a compound having strong human S1Pantagonistic activity in order to develop a useful medicament for therapy of a S1P-mediated disease such as a disease resulting from vascular constriction, fibrosis and respiratory disease. The compound represented by the general formula (I), wherein all the symbols have the same meanings as described in the specification, has a halogen atom or a haloalkyl group and a phenoxy group at certain substitution sites, and thus has strong human S1Pantagonistic activity. A splitter includes, in parallel between trunk terminals and branch terminals, a signal branching circuit that blocks distributed power and passes a PLC communication signal and a power branching circuit that blocks the communication signal and passes the distributed power. In the signal branching circuit, impedance viewed from the branch terminal side is matched with characteristic impedance of a power line and impedance viewed from the trunk terminal side is higher than impedance viewed from the branch terminal side, in the frequency band of the communication signal. In the power branching circuit, input/output impedance is set to be sufficiently higher than the impedance of the signal branching circuit viewed from the trunk terminal side, in the frequency band of the communication signal.

A physical activity measuring system analyzes analyzing body motions of a user to accurately determine the exercise intensity. The system includes a portable device which is adapted to be carried by the user and is equipped with a body sensor and an indicator for indication of the exercise intensity. The body sensor senses the user's body motions to give corresponding motion strength. The portable device has a processor which constitutes an exercise calculator which has a predetermined relationship between a default standard deviation of the motion strength and an exercise intensity scale. The exercise intensity calculator collects a time series data of the motion strengths within a predetermined first time frame, obtains a standard deviation of thus collected motion strengths, and converting the standard deviation into an instant exercise intensity within the intensity scale in accordance with the predetermined relationship. The standard deviation with regard to the motion strengths can be well concordant with the exercise intensity, and therefore gives the accurate exercise intensity on a real-time basis.
