A first sheet layer is made of a nonwoven fabric; a second sheet layer is made of a nonwoven fabric opposed to one side of the first sheet layer; and a plurality of elongated elastically stretchable members are provided along the stretchable direction at intervals from each other between the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer. Both ends of the elastically stretchable members are fixed to at least one of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer via a first hot melt adhesive. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are bonded via a second hot melt adhesive in a range in the stretchable direction corresponding to a space between the both ends of the elastically stretchable member. The holding power of the first hot melt adhesive is higher than the second hot meld adhesive.

Stretchable structure for absorbent article, and method for producing same

A stretchable structure of an absorbent article has a first sheet layer of a nonwoven fabric; a second sheet layer of a nonwoven fabric and opposed to one side of the first sheet layer. A plurality of elongated elastically stretchable members are provided along the stretchable direction at intervals from each other between the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer have sheet bonded portions bonded via a hot melt adhesive disposed in a striped pattern that is intermittent in the longitudinal direction of the elastically stretchable members and continuously elongated in the direction intersecting with the elastically stretchable members. One of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer is a spunbond nonwoven fabric, and the other sheet layer is an air-through nonwoven fabric whose surface on the spunbond nonwoven fabric side is a fluffy surface.

Stretchable structure of absorbent article and manufacturing method of the same

A stretchable structure of an absorbent article has a first sheet layer made of a nonwoven fabric; a second sheet layer made of a nonwoven fabric and opposed to one side surface of the first sheet layer; and a plurality of elongated elastically stretchable members provided along the stretchable direction at intervals from each other between the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer have sheet bonded portions bonded via a hot melt adhesive disposed in a striped pattern that is intermittent in the longitudinal direction of the elastically stretchable members and continuously elongated in the direction intersecting with the elastically stretchable members, and either one of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer is made of a low-adhesion nonwoven fabric having lower peel strength with respect to the hot melt adhesive than the other sheet layer.

At least a part of each end of the elastically stretchable member is fixed to at least one of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer only via a first hot melt adhesive. The holding power of the first hot melt adhesive is higher than the second hot meld adhesive.

The present invention is intended to prevent cutting of the resilient and elastic members by a welding process. The foregoing issue is solved by passing a first sheet layer, a second sheet layer, and elongated resilient and elastic members continuously disposed in an MD direction between the two sheet layers, between a first roll with joint convex parts provided at circumferential intervals on an outer peripheral surface and a second roll opposed to the first roll, and pressurizing and heating the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer to form sheet joined sections by welding the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer in such a manner as to cross the resilient and elastic members and have MD-direction intervals therebetween, wherein circumferentially continuous grooves are formed on a pressurization surface of the second roll, passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions including the grooves of the second roll, and non-passage sections of the resilient and elastic members are pressurized and heated in positions not including the grooves of the second roll.

Method for forming stretchable structure for absorbent article and stretchable structure for absorbent article

An object of the present invention is to provide an elastic structure that has straightly extended ridges with excellent appearance, air permeability, and fluffy feel. The object can be attained by an elastic structure in which a first sheet material (S) and a second sheet material (H) are joined together to form sheet joined sections () by an adhesive () applied intermittently in an extending direction and continuously in a direction intersecting with the extending direction, resilient and elastic members (and) are fixed by the adhesive () to at least one of the first sheet material (S) and the second sheet material (H) at intersections with the sheet joined sections (), and when the first sheet material (S) and the second sheet material (H) are contracted with contraction of the resilient and elastic members (and), portions of the first sheet material (S) and the second sheet material (H) positioned between the sheet joined sections () are swelled in mutually opposite directions to form ridges (), and the sheet joined sections () have a width () of 0.5 to 4 mm in the extending direction and spacing () between the adjacent sheet joined sections () is 4 to 8 mm.

Elastic structure for absorbent article and method for manufacturing elastic structure for absorbent article

In an underpants-type disposable diaper including a waist edge portion in which pleats extend straight and which has excellent fit, the inner layer and the outer layer at the waist edge portion of an outer body are joined by an adhesive arranged intermittently or a welding process performed intermittently in the width direction and continuously in a direction crossing the width direction, thereby forming sheet joined sections, waist edge portion resilient and elastic members are sandwiched between the inner layer and the outer layer and fixed to at least one of the inner layer and the outer layer at positions intersecting with the sheet joined sections, and the diaper includes an area not being joined and not having resilient and elastic member at an end portion of the outer body on the waist opening side in the waist edge portion, the area not having sheet joined sections nor the waist edge portion resilient and elastic members, and a vertical range being wider than spacing between the waist edge portion resilient and elastic member positioned closest to the waist opening side, and the waist edge portion resilient and elastic member adjacent thereto.
