In order to provide a driving machine which achieves reciprocating movements of a rack using a simple mechanism and is able to smoothly engage and disengage the rack by reducing the friction during engagement and disengagement of the rack, the driving machine is equipped with: a nose that extends in a prescribed direction; a housing that has the nose; a blade that has an engaging section, is movably guided in the housing in the prescribed direction, and is capable of driving a fastener via the nose; and a transmission mechanism that has an engaged section for engaging with the engaging section in order to transmit a driving force, wherein the transmission mechanism has a roller mechanism for guiding the engaging section and engaged section to disengage from each other.

A screw driving machine includes a bit that is movable to strike a screw against a workpiece and rotatable to rotate the screw to the workpiece, a combustion-type power mechanism including a spark plug that ignites combustible gas filled in a combustion chamber to apply striking force to cause the bit to strike the screw, a motor that generates a rotative force when supplied with electric force, and a power transmission mechanism that transmits the rotative force generated at the motor to the bit to cause the bit to rotate.

A fuel gas has a gas including at least 40 weight % or more of 1-butene and propane, or at least 56 weight % or more of 1-butene and propylene. A combustion type power tool is driven by the fuel gas. A compressed gas container for a combustion type power tool has an inner side vessel filled with the fuel gas. When the fuel gas includes propane, 1-butene may be equal to or higher than 59 weight % and equal to or lower than 95 weight %. When the fuel gas includes propylene, the 1-butene may be equal to or higher than 70 weight % and equal to or lower than 96 weight %.

A combustion type power tool capable of avoiding wasteful injection of combustible gas from a gas canister even if an unintentional operation of the push lever takes place, and capable of avoiding wasteful electric power consumption even if a battery used as power supply remains set in the tool. While the tool is not being used, a stop unit is set at a stop position, preventing a gas canister from injecting gas, and while the tool is being used, the stop unit is set at a release position, allowing the gas canister to inject gas as a result of movement of a combustion chamber frame.

A combustion-powered nail gun drives nails into a workpiece when both a head switch and a trigger switch are turned ON while a safety switch is turned ON. The nail driving operation cannot be performed if the safety switch is not ON even if both the head switch and the trigger switch are ON. The head switch is turned ON when a push lever is urged against the workpiece. Fuel/air mixture in a combustion chamber is ignited when the head switch and the trigger switch are turned ON irrespective of an order in which the head switch and the trigger switch are turned ON, whereby 'successive-shot driving' can be performed in which the trigger switch is maintained in its ON position while successively driving a plurality of nails at different locations of the workpiece by repeatedly pushing and releasing the push lever toward and away from the workpiece.

In the combustion-type power tool, a first shelter wall and a second shelter wall are disposed to partially surround an area between an ignition plug and an ignition ground. Two gaps are provided between the first and second shelter walls. The first shelter wall extends radially outwardly from an outer peripheral surface of a motor boss, and also protrudes from an end face in an axial direction of a fan shaft. The first shelter wall has a lower end surface inclined such that an axial length between the end face and the lower end surface is gradually reduced toward radially outer end of the first shelter wall.

A piston is movably supported in the cylinder and driven by combustion in the combustion chamber. A driving blade is integrally formed with the piston for driving a fastener. A temperature sensor is provided, for example, on the combustion chamber frame to sense the temperature thereof. A stopper is operated to adjust the position of the push lever to be shifted from an initial position when the sensed temperature is higher than a critical value. The push lever is positioned farther from another end of the housing when adjusted than when the push lever is in the initial position.

A combustion type power tool capable of performing cleaning to a cleaning target from outside of the tool without disassembly of a head cover and a head cap. In the head cap, first and second cleaning passages are formed. The first cleaning passage has one end open to an atmosphere and a closed inner end. The second cleaning passage has one end in communication with the first cleaning passage and another end open to a spark generating portion which is one of the cleaning target in the combustion type power tool. A check valve is disposed in the first cleaning passage for normally closing the one end of the first cleaning passage by a biasing force of a compression coil spring.
