In an imaging apparatus, a protrusion member of a lens barrel is arranged to protrude, from an outer surface of a barrel body, toward a direction away from an optical axis of a lens. The protrusion member includes an upper portion. The upper portion is located above the optical axis of the lens, and has an upper end. The protrusion member includes a lower portion. The lower portion is located below the optical axis of the at least one lens, and has a lower end. The upper end of the upper portion has a first minimum distance with respect to the optical axis of the lens, and the lower end of the lower portion has a second minimum distance with respect to the optical axis of the lens. The protrusion member is configured such that the first minimum distance is smaller than the second minimum distance.

Imaging apparatus

A vehicle compound-eye camera includes: a plurality of cameras arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a predetermined direction and disposed such that respective maximum image-pickup ranges of the plurality of cameras are partially shifted from each other in the predetermined direction; and a processor configured to set an overlapping image-pickup range in which each of the plurality of cameras picks up an image of a same target object from a different viewpoint. The processor is configured to set an image-pickup range of one of the cameras disposed on one end in the predetermined direction to have a relatively wide angle. The processor is configured to set an image-pickup range of another of the cameras disposed on the other end in the predetermined direction to have a relatively narrow angle.

Vehicle compound-eye camera

In a lens module, a sidewall of a lens barrel includes a first wall section that surrounds at least one access hole, and a second wall section that is other than the first wall section. The first wall section has a first inner circumferential surface and a first distance defined between the first inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface of the at least one lens. The second wall section has a second inner circumferential surface and a second distance defined between the second inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of the at least one lens. The first distance is larger than the second distance.

Lens module and vehicular imaging device

A camera module, which is mounted on an inside of a front windshield of a vehicle and configured to image an external environment of the vehicle, includes multiple lens units on which an optical image of the external environment is incident, individually, and an imaging system to generate an outside image of the external environment by imaging through each of the lens units, individually.

Vehicle windshield camera module

Camera module

A camera module is attached to an inside of a windshield of a vehicle to capture an image of an outside view. The camera module includes an imager, a lens set equipped with a first lens and a second lens, a lens barrel in which the lens set is disposed, and a main spacer fit in the lens barrel. The lens barrel retains the first lens using an axial force oriented along an optical axis of the lens set. The main spacer is disposed between the first and second lenses and transmits the axial force from one of the first and second lenses to the other. This structure enables the camera module to be reduced in size without sacrificing the optical performance thereof.

In a lens module, a first lens barrel has opposing first and second ends and an optical axis. A glass lens is disposed in the first lens barrel, and a resin lens is disposed in the first lens barrel and is arranged to be closer to the second end than the glass lens is. A second lens barrel is disposed in the first lens barrel to surround the at least one resin lens. A holding mechanism applies pressing force to the at least one glass lens and the second lens barrel in a direction of the optical axis to perform pressure holding of the at least one glass lens and the second lens barrel in a direction of the optical axis. The holding mechanism holds the at least one resin lens while preventing the pressing force from being directly applied to the at least one resin lens.

Vehicle windshield mounted camera module

A camera is module mounted on an inside of a windshield in a vehicle and is configured to photograph an outside of the vehicle. The camera module includes: a first camera for photographing the outside with a first imaging element through a first lens unit; and a second camera having a view angle narrower than the first camera and photographing the outside with a second imaging element through a second lens unit. The first imaging element and the second imaging element have a same pixel specification.

In a lens module, a tubular body includes first and second openings at respective first and second ends thereof. Lenses are disposed in the tubular body such that the lenses have a common optical axis. An elastically tubular eccentricity restriction member is coaxially disposed in the tubular body such that the outer periphery of the eccentricity restriction member is in contact with the inner periphery of the tubular body, and the inner periphery of the eccentricity restriction member surrounds the outer periphery of at least one of the lenses while inwardly biasing the outer periphery of the at least one of the lenses. The eccentricity restriction member includes a holder formed at the first end thereof. The holder is attached to one of the lenses that is closest to the first end of the eccentricity restriction member.

Lens module and stereo camera

A camera apparatus is mounted to a vehicle. The camera apparatus includes a camera module, a casing, and a restraining portion. The camera module includes a lens and a camera board on which an image sensor is provided. The casing houses the camera module. The restraining portion is configured to mechanically restrain movement of the camera module that is mounted in a predetermined mounting position within the casing, from the mounting position. The camera module is fixed to the casing by an adhesive.
