This invention relates to a correction liquid for a liquid membrane type ion-selective electrode that makes it possible to measure a ratio between a sodium ion concentration and a potassium ion concentration in urine by correcting for an influence from an ionic strength of the urine. The correction liquid comprises a sodium ion-sensitive part that selectively reacts with the sodium ion and a potassium ion-sensitive part that selectively reacts with the potassium ion, and measures a ratio between a sodium ion concentration and a potassium ion concentration in urine, and comprises the sodium ion, the potassium ion, and an electrolytic ionic strength modifier.

Calibration liquid

This invention relates to a liquid membrane type ion-selective electrode that can restrain an electric potential fluctuation of an inner electrode due to ultraviolet rays and that can conduct an analysis with high accuracy. The liquid membrane type ion-selective electrode comprises a liquid membrane type ion-sensitive membrane wherein a predetermined ionophore is supported by a base material, an inner electrode that has electrical conductivity and that is arranged at a position on the ion-sensitive membrane through which light transmitted is incident, an internal solution that contains an electrolyte and that makes contact with the ion-sensitive membrane and the inner electrode, wherein the ion-sensitive membrane contains an ultraviolet absorber or an ultraviolet reflecting agent having an insulative property.

Multi-ion sensor

The present invention is intended to enable silver ions in an internal electrolyte solution of a reference electrode to be suppressed from being eluted, and also suppress a potential variation that occurs due to production of a poorly-soluble silver compound on surfaces of a liquid communication part and the like, and specifically provided with: an internal electrode formed of a silver/silver chlorides electrode; an internal electrolyte solution that is in contact with the internal electrode; and a containing body that contains the internal electrolyte solution, in which the containing body is formed of a material that does not have anionic conductivity but has cationic conductivity and moisture permeability.

Reference electrode

A reference electrode for improving a product life cycle without using a gelled hydrophobic ionic liquid having a prescribed hardness or viscosity and without having a large thickness so as to be difficult to manufacture is provided. The reference electrode is provided with a housing for accommodating an internal electrode, a filler for electrically connecting the internal electrode, and a sample liquid. The filler is formed having a layer between the internal electrode and an opening formed in the housing for contacting the sample liquid and the filler. The filler includes a first layer including a water soluble electrolytic solution formed to be in contact with the internal electrode a second layer including a hydrophobic ionic liquid formed to be in contact with the first layer; and a third layer including a gelled hydrophobic ionic liquid formed in the opening so as to be in contact with the second layer.

This invention provides a reference electrode that can be downsized and stable in voltage. The reference electrode in accordance with this invention is a reference electrode that does not require an internal aqueous solution such as a KCl aqueous solution and comprises a metal body, a slightly soluble salt film that comprises a slightly soluble salt of the metal body and that coats the metal body and a hydrophobic ionic liquid that is arranged to make contact with both the slightly soluble salt film and a sample to be measured.

Ion-selective electrode

An ion-selective electrode has a responsive glass membrane with an exterior thin film containing titanium dioxide of an anatase type that is continuously formed as an integrated body. The thin film, of several hundred nm in numbers, is electrically connected by an amount of titanium dioxide that will form a continuity in the thin film structure. The thin film can be porous and contain at least one metal selected from cobalt, nickel, tungsten, copper, platinum, gold, silver and iron. Additionally, significantly larger titanium dioxide particles of 0.02 &#x3bc;m in diameter can be further mixed into the thin film.

Responsive glass membrane and glass electrode

Disclosed is a sensitive glass film for a pH electrode, which is not deteriorated in its glass strength or pH-measuring function, which is hardly stained, and from which any stain can be removed easily. The present claimed invention intends to provide a responsive glass membrane for ion selective electrode glass and an ion selective electrode comprising the responsive glass membrane that produces a self-cleaning function when the ultraviolet rays are irradiated although no change is brought in a composition of a sample solution as being an object to be measured and that is low in electric resistance value and superior in responsivity under an ordinary measurement environment. The responsive glass membrane for ion selective electrode is made of the titanium-containing oxide glass that contains 20&#x2dc;80 mol % of titanium dioxide and lithium oxide.
