A connector that can accommodate displacement and tilting at the time of fitting into a counterpart connector and that can avoid an increase in the size of the connector is provided. A movable contact of a connector has: upper-side contact points; lower-side contact points; upper-side gripping sections; lower-side gripping sections; an upper-side spring part; a lower-side spring part; and two joining sections. The upper-side contact points and the lower-side contact points can move independently of each other due to elastic deformation of the upper-side spring part and the lower-side spring part. An upper-side second width of the upper-side spring part at a second position is smaller than an upper-side first width of the upper-side spring part at a first position. A lower-side second width of the lower-side spring part at the second position is smaller than a first lower-side width of the lower-side spring part at the first position.

Connector

A connector () has: a terminal (); a base insulator () having a holding hole (); and a front insulator () having a passage hole (). The terminal () has: a cylindrical section (); a lance () extending from the cylindrical section (); and a stopper () projecting from the cylindrical section (). The terminal () is retained by the holding hole (). A retaining portion () inside the holding hole () is positioned between the lance () of the terminal () and the stopper (). A gap is formed between an inner wall () of the holding hole () and the cylindrical section () of the terminal (). The front insulator () is attached to the base insulator (). The passage hole () is positioned in front of the holding hole (). The passage hole () is smaller than the cylindrical section () of the terminal ().

A connector is provided with terminals, stoppers, and a socket insulator. The stoppers are attached to the respective terminals and are housed together with the terminals in the housing parts of the socket insulator. The stoppers are provided with parts to be locked, and lock spring parts that support the parts to be locked. Locking parts and operation parts are formed on the socket insulator. When the stoppers are housed in the housing parts, the locking parts are located rearward of the parts to be locked, and the locking parts restrict rearward movement of the stoppers. The operation parts can be operated in a prescribed direction that intersects the longitudinal direction. When operated, the operation parts cause the parts to be locked to move in the prescribed direction, and the restriction applied by the locking parts to the parts to be locked in released.

Connector with contact removably attached to an insulator

A pin connector includes a pin contact and a pin housing. The pin contact includes a battery fixing portion and a contact portion. The pin housing includes a pin housing body into which the contact portion is inserted in a connector removal direction, and a pin contact lock. When the pin contact lock is inserted into the pin housing body in a battery separating direction to be attached to the pin housing body, a projection upper surface faces a groove ceiling and a lower surface faces a contact lock surface.

Electric connector

A plug contact includes a plate-shaped contact portion. The plate-shaped contact portion includes an upper contact surface where a receptacle contact is contactable. A plug housing includes: a base; a pair of side end cover portions that projects in a mating direction from the base and covers both side ends of the plate-shaped contact portion; a leading end cover portion which couples leading ends of the pair of side end cover portions in the mating direction and covers a leading end of the plate-shaped contact portion; a pair of beams that couples the base with a middle portion of the leading end cover portion in a longitudinal direction; and an outside cover. The receptacle contact includes a pair of upper elastic spring pieces disposed so as to sandwich one of the beams. The receptacle contact is formed by bending a single metallic plate.

Connector assembly

A battery assembly includes: a receptacle connector including a receptacle contact with a bolt hole for bolting formed therein, a receptacle housing attached to the receptacle contact; a battery having an upper surface on which the receptacle contact of the receptacle connector is attached by the bolting, and a right side surface roughly perpendicular to the upper surface. The receptacle housing of the receptacle connector is formed so as to extend in an elongated shape along the tangent direction of an imaginary circle C centered on the central axis of the bolt hole of the receptacle contact of the receptacle connector as viewed in the central axis direction of the bolt hole, and is capable of coming into contact with the right side surface of the battery at the time of the bolting.

Assembly

A pin connector includes a pin contact and a pin housing. The pin contact includes: an upper contact portion having a flat plate shape and being in electrical contact with an upper socket connector; a lower contact portion having a flat plate shape and being in electrical contact with a lower socket connector; and an electrode contact portion having a flat plate shape and being in electrical contact with a battery. A thickness direction of the upper contact portion and a thickness direction of the lower contact portion are substantially perpendicular to a thickness direction of the electrode contact portion. A direction in which the upper socket connector is mated with the pin connector is different from a direction in which the lower socket connector is mated with the pin connector.

Electrical connector capable of connecting a plurality of electric wires to a connection object

A receptacle connector includes a receptacle contact capable of coming into contact with a receptacle contact of a plug connector, and a receptacle housing having a contact insertion hole into which the receptacle contact is inserted. The receptacle contact includes a held portion that is accommodated in the contact insertion hole and is held by the receptacle housing, and an orthogonal portion projecting in a direction substantially orthogonal to an insertion direction. The orthogonal portion has a bolt hole formed therein. The receptacle connector further includes a displacement regulating mechanism that regulates displacement of a proximal end portion relative to the receptacle housing in a width center direction.

A connector whose terminal portions of contacts can be reliably inserted into through holes of a circuit board. The connector comprises a housing, contacts, and an alignment member. Each contact includes a holding portion held by the housing, a terminal portion inserted into a circuit board, and a linking portion connecting the holding and terminal portions. The alignment member is mounted on the contacts and positions the terminal portions. The contacts are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the connector, and in two rows in a vertical direction thereof. Each pair of adjacent contacts in the longitudinal direction are connected by a connecting portion, to form first and second combination contacts. The alignment member has receiving portions receiving the linking portions, open portions from which the connecting portions are exposed, and grooves preventing a relative movement of the connecting portions in the vertical direction.

In a connector to be coupled to a housing and for coupling a mating connector in a predetermined direction, a connector element is held by a sub module which is held by the housing to be slidable in the predetermined direction. The sub module includes a floating spring portion. The floating spring portion includes a contacting portion for being brought into contact with the housing and an operated portion connected to the contacting portion. Responsive to movement of the mating connector in the predetermined direction, the operated portion separates the contacting portion from the housing.

Connector improved in floating function

In a connector for connecting a coaxial cable having a center conductor and an outer conductor, a relay contact is connected between the outer conductor and a ground contact held by a housing. A signal contact is held by the housing and adapted to be connected to the center conductor. The relay contact includes a soldering portion and a connected portion coupled to the soldering portion. The soldering portion has a generally L-shaped section to define a recessed part and is soldered to the outer conductor in the state where the coaxial cable is received in the recessed part. The connected portion is adapted to be connected to the ground contact.
