In a material output system, if it is determined that a meeting management server has stored therein meeting information in which an authenticated person is included in prospective participants in a meeting, in which an installation place of MFP that has performed authentication agrees with a meeting room where the meeting is held, and in which the present date and time is included in a meeting room reservation time, MFP is instructed to output a material saved in a location associated with the meeting information. If it is determined that such meeting information is not stored in the meeting management server, the material output system displays a screen to allow output of the material saved in the associated location, for at least one piece of meeting information in which the authenticated user is included in prospective participants in a meeting. Accordingly, the material can be promptly distributed to the participant in the meeting.

The position and orientation at a time of shooting by a shooting unit of a portable terminal is transmitted to an information processing apparatus. Based on the transmitted position and orientation of the portable terminal and the stored position of an image processing apparatus, the information processing apparatus extracts an image processing apparatus from the shot image and transmits information about the extracted image processing apparatus to the portable terminal. The portable terminal combines the shot image with an option for selecting a function available in the image processing apparatus and displays the combined image on a display unit, based on the information transmitted from the information processing apparatus. When selection of a function is accepted, a screen for operating the selected function is displayed on the display unit of the portable terminal.

The generated identification information pieces are displayed on a display in a style allowing users to understand their linkages to the process conditions. In an image processing system, a portable terminal obtains positional information and orientation information of the portable terminal and transmits these to an information processing apparatus. An image processing apparatus generates information specifying a process executable by the apparatus itself at the present moment and transmits the generated information to the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus stores positional information and functional information for specifying a process to be executed, for each image processing apparatus. Upon receiving the positional information and orientation information from the portable terminal, the information processing apparatus transmits, to the portable terminal, the functional information for specifying a process to be executed by a specific image processing apparatus associated with the received information.

An image forming system comprises an access control part, a storage part, an extraction part, and an acquisition part. The access control part determines whether to allow or prohibit access to a security image in which a password for access control is embedded. The present invention provides an image formation apparatus that reconstructs and prints a document based on document data written in a markup language. The image formation apparatus arranges, by using browser software, text data included in the document data within a page of the document, and acquires image data from servers and arranges the image data within the page of the document. If the image formation apparatus fails to acquire one or more pieces of the image data, it judges whether each of the pieces of image data is important or not according to the attribute information of the image data. If judged negatively, the image formation apparatus executes printing of the document reconstructed based on the text data and/or the acquired pieces of image data. If judged affirmatively, the image formation apparatus cancels the printing of the reconstructed document.
