A method for depositing a functionally gradient thin film of the present invention includes the steps of: introducing two or more types of material gases into a process chamber which includes a cylindrical rotary electrode provided so as to be opposed to a substrate on which a thin film is deposited, the cylindrical rotary electrode being rotated by applying a high-frequency power thereto; and sliding the substrate into the process chamber while maintaining the rotation of the cylindrical rotary electrode so as to create plasma between the cylindrical rotary electrode arid the substrate for depositing the thin film.

Method for depositing functionally gradient thin film

An apparatus for setting image forming conditions includes: a display section having a display screen; a transparent touch-sensitive panel having a plurality of touch-sensitive keys and provided on the display screen for inputting the image forming conditions; and a display control section for controlling the display section and the touch-sensitive panel; wherein the display control section controls the display section to display a plurality of item selection keys in an item selection key area on the display screen for selection of condition items for setting the image forming conditions, to display a plurality of condition setting keys in a condition setting key area on the display screen for selection of options for a selected condition item, to display text information on current settings of the image forming conditions in a condition display area on the display screen, and to display an icon indicative of the current settings of the image forming conditions in an icon display area on the display screen; wherein the condition setting key area appears in response to selection of the condition item by operating in any of the item selection keys.

Apparatus for setting image forming conditions

A photoreceptor drum driving mechanism includes a drum drive gear provided at a leading end of a drive shaft, which is in mesh with an internal gear mounted to a photoreceptor drum and a roller coaxially formed with the drive shaft. The mechanism further includes a circular arc surface in contact with the roller in a deflecting direction of the drive shaft. As a result, the drive shaft of the drum drive gear can be prevented from being deformed in a pressure angle direction of the drum drive gear. As this eliminates irregularities in rotations of the photoreceptor drum, a distortion of an image in an image forming process or in a transferring process can be prevented.
