A polymer actuator includes: a pair of electrode layers made of an ionic liquid, a polymer, and carbon nanoparticles; and an electrolyte layer provided between the pair of electrode layers, wherein the carbon nanoparticles are a mixture of carbon nanotubes (hereinafter, referred to as CNTs) and carbon nanohorns (hereinafter, referred to as CNHs), a ratio by weight of the carbon nanoparticles to the total weight of the ionic liquid, the polymer, and the carbon nanoparticles contained in the pair of electrodes is equal to or higher than 25 wt % and equal to or lower than 80 wt %, a mixing ratio of the CNTs to the CNHs contained in the carbon particles is in a range of (CNT):(CNH)=1:1 to 3:1, and a ratio by weight of the polymer is equal to or higher than 17.7 wt % and equal to or lower than 30.2 wt %.

The present invention has a hydrogen detection portion composed of a semiconductor and a hydrogen absorber provided at least a part of a surface thereof, and pairs of electrodes provided at the semiconductor so as to sandwich the place at which the hydrogen absorber is provided and so as not to be electrically connected to each other with the hydrogen absorber, wherein the presence of hydrogen can be detected by the change in resistance of the semiconductor in response to hydrogen absorption into the hydrogen absorber, the change in resistance being measured between said pairs of electrodes.

A detection sensor includes a detector unit which is provided on an insulating board at a first side of the board, a circuit component which is provided on the board at a second side of the board and which processes a signal detected by the detector unit, and a wiring unit which penetrates through the board in the thickness direction of the board and connects the detector unit and the circuit component.

A capacitive sensor includes a fixed board provided with a fixed electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes, a movable member provided with a movable electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes which faces the fixed electrode unit with a gap therebetween, the movable member being rotatable with respect to the fixed board, a weight provided on the movable member, and a retaining element which is disposed between the fixed plate and the weight and retains the movable member in a rotatable manner. Capacitive sensor

A capacitive sensor includes a retaining member, an intermediate member retained by the retaining member such that the intermediate member can rotate around a first axis, a movable member retained by the intermediate member such that the movable member can rotate around a second axis which is perpendicular to the first axis, a weight provided on the movable member, a movable electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes which is provided on the movable member, and a board on which a fixed electrode unit consisting of one or more electrodes is provided such that the fixed electrode unit faces the movable electrode unit. At least one of the movable electrode unit and the fixed electrode unit includes a plurality of electrodes, and capacitances between the one or more electrodes of the movable electrode unit and the one or more electrodes of the fixed electrode unit are detected.

A driving signal is provided to six electrodes (driving electrodes) on one of the surfaces of each of three vibration legs of a three-pronged tuning-fork-type piezoelectric oscillator. Two output electrodes from among six electrodes (output electrodes) on the other surface thereof are connected to two current-to-voltage conversion devices, respectively. Since the two output electrodes are imaginarily short-circuited by the current-to-voltage conversion devices, there is no need to provide a ground electrode between the output electrodes. This makes it possible to simplify an electrode manufacturing process.

Piezoelectric oscillator and signal detection apparatus using the same

A pair of electrodes are formed on the front surface and the rear surface of each vibrator in a longitudinal direction, and dielectric polarization is performed in the direction from the front surface to the rear surface. When I/V converters constituted by operational amplifiers are connected to electrodes of the middle vibrator, the detection electrodes can be grounded to a reference potential Vref through the imaginary short circuits of the I/V converters, so that a gyroscope can be vibrated without a conventional ground electrode. Therefore, the number of electrodes of the vibrators can be reduced, and an interval size between the drive electrodes or between the detection electrodes can be assured. For this reason, sufficient dielectric polarization can be performed when a high voltage is applied.

Provided are an electro-conductive composition improved on its wettability and handled with ease and an electronic equipment using the same. The electro-conductive composition comprises: 28 to 45 wt % metallic particles X to form an alloy with a solder at a soldering temperature and to increase a melting point of the solder to a temperature higher than the soldering temperature; 30 to 60 wt % metallic particles Y hard to form an alloy with the solder at the soldering temperature, wherein the sum of contents of the metallic particles X and Y is in the range of 75 to 93 wt %; and the rest of a resin.

Electro-conductive composition and electronic equipment using same

Provided are an electro-conductive composition improved on its wettability and handled with ease and an electronic equipment using the same. The electro-conductive composition comprises: 28 to 45 wt % first metallic particles easy to form an alloy with a solder; 25 to 60 wt % second metallic particles hard to diffuse into the solder; 3 to 7 wt % an oxide having a property to block penetration of the solder; and 7 to 30 wt % a resin.

Alloy powder which is low in price and is unlikely to be oxidized on the surface, and a dispersion-type conductor using the alloy powder in which electromigration is not likely to occur. Melt of copper and silver is cooled at a high cooling speed of 10.sup.5 .degree.C./s or higher. Alloy powder having a composition expressed by a chemical formula Cu.sub.x Ag.sub.1-x (where 0.80.ltoreq..times..ltoreq.0.99) is obtained. Also, a dispersion-type conductor is produced by dispersing 100 parts by weight of the alloy powder in between 5-100 parts by weight of a binder. Thus, the low-priced alloy powder and the dispersion-type conductor of high quality and high reliability can be obtained.

Method of producing an atomized alloy power

Alloy powder which is low in price and is unlikely to be oxidized on the surface, and a dispersion-type conductor using the alloy powder in which electromigration is not likely to occur. Melt of copper and silver is cooled at a high cooling speed of 10.sup.5 .degree. C./s or higher. Alloy powder having a composition expressed by a chemical formula Cu.sub.x Ag.sub.1-x (where 0.80.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.0.99) is obtained. Also, a dispersion-type conductor is produced by dispersing 100 parts by weight of the alloy powder in between 5-100 parts by weight of a binder. Thus, the low-priced alloy powder and the dispersion-type conductor of high quality and high reliability can be obtained.

Method for manufacturing slide electrical contact

An electroluminescence device having an excellent moisture-resistant property is disclosed. Such an electroluminescence device comprises a light emitting layer inserted between an opposite electrode and a transparent electrode to form a multi-layered structure, said structure being airtightly sealed by a pair of protective sheets and said ELD being able to be fitted to an external apparatus by means of a metal fixture. The ELD is characterized in that a metal composite film is formed by inserting a metal foil between a pair of resin films and is used for one of the protective sheets for said opposite electrode. The composite film having a notch which is formed by removing part of the metal foil around a portion of the metal composite film prepared to accommodate the metal fixture.

Encapsulated electroluminescence device

A printed circuit board has a terminal area to which the terminal area of a sheet member is electrically connected. The sheet member is bonded to the printed circuit board with a hot-melt adhesive. The layer of the hot-melt adhesive which is formed on the sheet member and does not face the terminal area of the printed circuit board protrudes from the surface of the terminal area of the sheet member. The printed circuit board includes an insulating substrate made from a material containing silicon dioxide. A metal salt that imparts hydrophobicity to the bonded surface of the substrate is added to the layer of the hot-melt adhesive.
