The object of the present disclosure is to implement capturing of mist. One embodiment of the present invention is a printing apparatus including: a carriage, on which a print head that ejects a liquid is mounted, configured to reciprocate within a predetermined range in a second direction intersecting with a first direction; a partition member configured to partition an inside of the casing in the first direction into a first space in which the carriage reciprocates and a second space in which the carriage does not reciprocate; a first communication unit provided within the predetermined range in the second direction and configured to cause the first space and the second space to communicate with each other; and a second communication unit provided outside the first communication unit in the second direction and configured to cause the first space and the second space to communicate with each other.

Printing apparatus

A reading apparatus comprising a lower case, a reading portion, a drive portion and a stay is used. The reading portion moves between an open position in which the lower case is open and a closed position in which the lower case is closed and accommodates a reading sensor. The drive portion moves the reading sensor in a moving direction. The stay is coupled to the reading portion rotatably in one end and coupled to the lower case rotatably in the other end and moves a rotation shaft with in a direction orthogonal to the shaft. The drive portion is located outside a movable range of the reading sensor. When the reading portion is in the closed position, the stay is disposed in an area in which the stay overlaps the drive portion in the moving direction and overlaps the drive portion in height direction.

A cassette comprises a sheet housing portion that has an opening in an upper face and houses sheets, a cassette cover that can be attached and detached and covers at least a portion of the opening, a first protruding portion that is provided in one edge portion of the cassette cover and protrudes toward a bottom face of the sheet housing portion, and a second protruding portion that is provided in the other edge portion of the cassette cover and opposes the first protruding portion, wherein the sheet housing portion includes a projection-shaped portion that protrudes toward the first protruding portion and a position regulating portion that has a gap into which the second protruding portion enters, and the first protruding portion is provided with a receiving portion into which the projection-shaped portion enters.

A light emitting device includes first and second light emitting elements; and a light guiding member including first and second light receiving portion corresponding to the first and second light emitting elements and configured to emit the light received by the first and second light receiving portions from a light emitting portion via a light guiding portion. Printing apparatus that includes a pivoting display that can be opened and closed

In a printing apparatus, a first tray is capable of stacking a sheet discharged from a discharge port. A second tray is accommodated in a lower side of the first tray and is capable of stacking the sheet discharged from the discharge port by being drawn out in a sheet discharging direction from the discharge port. A changing unit changes inclination angles of the first tray and the second tray with respect to the sheet discharging direction according to a drawn-out position of the second tray.

An operation panel is integrated into a conveying unit, and the operation panel and a conveying roller are displaced with respect to each other in a sheet width direction crossing a sheet conveying direction. The operation panel and the conveying roller are located in a manner at least partly overlapping each other in the sheet conveying direction and a height direction in the conveying unit. Further, the operation panel and the conveying roller are at least partly located within a range of a width of a sheet conveying area by the conveying unit.

Sheet conveying apparatus and image reading apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a frame in which a carriage configured to reciprocate along a predetermined direction is disposed, and a unit disposed to be openable with respect to the frame. A first engaging portion is formed on the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus is capable of restricting a movement of the carriage at least in the predetermined direction with use of a securing component including a second engaging portion engageable with the first engaging portion. When the securing component is attached to the carriage, and then the unit is closed with the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion engaging with each other, the securing component is sandwiched and fixed between the frame and the unit.

Image forming apparatus and method for securing carriage

A part engaging structure having sufficient intensity while reducing the use amount of material, and having high positioning accuracy is provided. An engaging structure allows a protruding portion formed at a first part to be received by a receiving portion formed at a second part and engages the first part with the second part. The protruding portion is formed of a structure body having a plurality of ribs combined in a polygonal shape lacking part of sides, and at least two of corner portions of the polygon of the structure body contact an inner surface of the receiving portion.
