A silver halide color photographic material is described, comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein said at least one silver halide emulsion layer comprises at least one compound represented by the formula (I) and at least one compound represented by the formula (II): ##STR1## wherein V.sub.1, V.sub.2, V.sub.3 and V.sub.4 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an acyl group, an acyloxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a carboxy group, a cyano group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, an acylamino group, an alkoxy group or an aryl group, or V.sub.1 and V.sub.2, or V.sub.3 and V.sub.4 may be bound to each other to form a benzene ring;

Silver halide color photographic material

There are provided by the invention silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials containing dyestuff(s) represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.6, L.sub.1, L.sub.2, L.sub.3, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 are groups conventional in this technical field, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.5 each represent an optionally substituted alkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, COR.sup.7 and SO.sub.2 R.sup.7 (wherein R.sup.7 represents an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted aryl group) (including the case where the dyestuff(s) is(are) in the form of salt(s)). The dyestuff(s) act(s) as a coloring agent for colored layer(s) for color filtering, antihalation, antiiradiation, etc. Silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials containing dyestuffs represented by the general formula (I) of the invention have remarkable effects, for example, that stability of dyestuffs in the membrane with time lapse is high, relative sensitivity is high, lowering of sensitivity in exposure to light under high humidity is small, image quality is excellent, there is only a little remaining color, and/or there is only a little fog, as compared with silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials containing conventional dyestuffs for the aforementioned purposes.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive elements containing water

A color photographic material in which at least one chemically sensitized silver halide photographic emulsion is coated on a support, with the silver halide photographic emulsion comprising silver halide grains in which tabular grains having an aspect ratio of not less than 5 comprise at least 50% on the total projected area of all grains and the halide composition of the silver halide is at least 95 mole % bromide, substantially no iodide and the remainder chloride. High photographic speed, low fog, high developability and excellent processing stability in rapid processing at high temperature using reduced amounts of replenishers are achieved.

A silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a base, in which the emulsion layer contains at least one kind of specific magenta coupler of a pyrazoloazole system and the silver halide emulsion is a silver chlorobromide emulsion or silver chloroiodobromide emulsion chemically sensitized in the presence of a nucleic acid or a decomposition product thereof prior to the completion of chemical sensitization by sulfur compounds. This color photographic material is improved in color reproduction and image stability, less liable to fogging that is formed during development, and less dependent on processing conditions.

A method of forming a color image and a silver halide color photographic material comprising a reflective support having thereon at least one light-sensitive layer containing at least one coupler which forms a dye upon a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent and a silver halide emulsion which contains at least 80% by mol of silver chloride and substantially no silver iodide the method comprising processing with a color developing solution which contains not more than 0.002 mol of a bromine ion per liter and substantially no benzyl alcohol for a development time of not more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds in the presence of at least one compound represented by the following formulae (I), (II), or (III), as defined in the specification. The method of forming a color image and the silver halide color photographic material according to the present invention enable rapid processing to be conducted while controlling the fog formation with high sensitivity.

A photogrphic light-sensitive material comparing a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide emulsion layer comprises a silver chlorobromide emulsion which is substantially free of iodide and has a chloride content which satisfies the following relationship (I) between a mean mole % of silver chloride in grain group (A), in which the grains have sizes not less than the median size in the grain size distribution, and a mean mole % of silver chloride in grain group (B) in which the grains have sizes less than the median size, whereby excellent gradation and wide exposure latitude are achieved, and there is a small dependence on the development conditions.

Silver halide photographic material containing novel chloride content

A method for forming a color image is disclosed, comprising imagewise exposing a color photographic material containing a reflective support having thereon at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion having substantially no iodide content and associated with a yellow dye-forming coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having substantially no iodide content and associated with a magenta dye-forming coupler and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having substantially no iodide content and associated with a cyan dye forming coupler wherein at least one said blue-sensitive emulsion layer, at least one said green-sensitive emulsion layer and at least one said red-sensitive emulsion layer each contains said silver halide in a ratio of from 1/1 to 4.5/1 moles with respect to the color forming coupler and said photographic material has a total coverage of silver halide contained in all of said silver halide emulsion layers being controlled to 0.78 g/m.sup.2 or less on a silver basis; and after imagewise exposure, developing the resulting material within 2 minutes and 30 seconds with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol.
