Disclosed are a thermoplastic elastomer composition and a composite molded body. Specifically disclosed is a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing the following component (A1), component (B1) and component (C1). Component (A1): 70-90% by weight of a propylene polymer unit (&#x3b1;1) obtained in a first step by polymerizing a monomer mainly composed of propylene, and an ethylene copolymer unit obtained in a second step by copolymerizing ethylene with propylene and/or an &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms Component (B1): an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber having a Mooney viscosity (ML, 125&#xb0; C.) of 20-100 and a weight ratio between the monomer unit derived from ethylene and the monomer unit derived from propylene of from 30/70 to 75/25 Component (C1): an ethylene copolymer as a copolymer of ethylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition and composite molded body

A thermoplastic elastomer is provided that includes a propylene-based resin and an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer rubber, and has a crystallization time at 130&#xb0; C. measured by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) of from 250 to 1,000 sec. There are also provided a method for producing a molded body, the method including a step of preparing the thermoplastic elastomer composition and a step of injection molding the thermoplastic elastomer composition, and a molded body produced by the method.

The present invention provides a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising: 100 parts by weight of component (A), 10 to 100 parts by weight of component (B), 50 to 200 parts by weight of component (C), and 5 to 30 parts by weight of component (D). Component (A) is a propylene polymer having a melting point of 155&#xb0; C. or more. Component (B) is a crystalline propylene-ethylene copolymer. Component (C) is an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin rubber having Mooney Viscosity of 30 to 100(ML, 125&#xb0; C.). Component (D) is a hydrogenated product of block copolymer comprising blocks of aromatic vinyl compound units and blocks of conjugated diene compound units.

High performance thermoplastic elastomer composition

Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition comprising a polyphenylene ether and a polyamide and excellent in impact strength wherein an impact strength modifier having structure A--B--A (A or B is styrene) is partially dispersed in said polyphenylene ether and has layered or spherical structure of about 0.02-0.07 .mu.m. A process for producing the thermoplastic resin composition is also disclosed which comprises (1) previously melt kneading (i) at least one compatibilizing agent in an amount effective for compatibilization and (ii) a polyphenylene ether, and then (2) adding (iii) a polyamide in an amount necessary for formation of continuous phase and (iv) an impact strength modifier having structure A--B--A (A or B is styrene) and melt kneading the mixture at a maximum shear rate of 700 sec.sup.-1 or more.
