A transmitter includes a data generating unit configured to generate transmission data, a transmitting unit configured to transmit the transmission data to a receiver that includes a setting unit that sets a threshold for controlling a vehicle in accordance with the type of the tire valve, and a controlling unit that causes the transmitting unit to transmit the transmission data. The transmission data is information with which the setting unit sets the threshold. The transmission data includes valve identification information for causing the setting unit to recognize the type of the tire valve to which the transmitter is attached.

Transmitter, receiver, and transmission-reception system

A transmitter is attached to each of wheel assemblies of a vehicle and transmits transmission data to a receiver. The transmitter includes a nonvolatile memory that stores multiple types of protocols, a volatile memory that stores selection information, and a transmitting unit. The selection information represents a protocol that is selected from the multiple types of protocols stored in the nonvolatile memory and corresponds to the receiver. The transmitting unit transmits transmission data conforming to a protocol. The transmitting unit transmits the transmission data conforming to the protocol represented by the selection information when the selection information is stored in the volatile memory. Also, the transmitting unit transmits the transmission data conforming to all the protocols stored in the nonvolatile memory when the selection information is not stored in the volatile memory.

Transmitter

A transmitter is configured to be integrated with a tire valve attached to a wheel. The transmitter includes a data generating unit, a transmitting unit, and a controlling unit. The data generating unit is configured to generate transmission data. The transmitting unit is configured to transmit the transmission data to a receiver that includes a setting unit that sets a threshold related to control of a vehicle in accordance with a type of the wheel. The controlling unit causes the transmitting unit to transmit the transmission data. The transmission data includes wheel identification information. The wheel identification information is required by the setting unit when setting the threshold and allows the setting unit to recognize the type of the wheel to which the tire valve is attached.

The transmitter is arranged in a tire attached to a wheel and configured to transmit data to a receiver. The transmitter includes an obtaining section configured to obtain a detection result of the sensor, a generating section configured to generate the data including the detection result of the sensor, a transmitting section configured to transmit the data generated by the generating section, and an organic power generation element that is a power source of the transmitter. The organic power generation element is configured to generate power through a chemical reaction with organic matter contained in a fuel solution accommodated in the tire.

A transmitter is configured to be attached to each of wheel assemblies provided in a vehicle and execute a process in accordance with a command included in a trigger signal transmitted from a trigger device. The transmitter includes a battery, a condition detecting section, which detects a condition of the transmitter, a trigger receiving section, which receives, as the trigger signal, an unmodulated wave having a received signal strength indication greater than or equal to a predetermined received signal strength indication, a transmitting section, which transmits a signal, a controlling section, which performs response transmission, by which the signal is transmitted to the transmitting section in response to the unmodulated wave, when the trigger receiving section receives the unmodulated wave, and a memory section, which stores at least one of reception time of the unmodulated wave and a number of times of the response transmission.

Transmitter and tire condition monitoring apparatus

A transmitter arranged in a tire includes a transmitting section, which has a terminal, and a pressure switch. The pressure switch includes a hollow box and a passage that causes an interior of the box and an interior of the tire to communicate with each other. The box includes a conductive deforming portion, which is separate from the terminal when the difference between the pressure in the box and the pressure in the tire is less than a predetermined value and is elastically deformed to contact the terminal when the pressure in the box is higher than the pressure in the tire at least by the predetermined value. The transmitting section transmits a warning signal that causes a tire pressure warning device to issue a warning in response to contact between the deforming portion and the terminal.

Transmitter with hollow box for wheel assemblies

A transmitter is configured to be attached to each of wheel assemblies in a vehicle and execute a process in accordance with a command included in a trigger signal. The transmitter includes a condition detecting section, a trigger receiving section which receives, as the trigger signal, an unmodulated wave having a received signal strength indication a transmitting section, and a controlling section. When the trigger receiving section receives the unmodulated wave, the controlling section causes the transmitting section to transmit the signal in response to the unmodulated wave. The controlling section is configured to execute an accumulation process to accumulate reception time of the unmodulated wave from a starting point in time, and shift into a restriction state to restrict a response to the unmodulated wave when the accumulated reception time reaches a predetermined time.

Transmitter for wheel assemblies

A vehicle has a detecting section that detects, as a detection value, a rotational angle of each wheel assembly. A transmitter provided in each wheel assembly transmits transmission data when the rotational angle of the wheel assembly is any of specific angles. At the performance of transmission at the specific angle, the transmitter changes data that is different from angular data indicating the rotational angle of the wheel assembly and is included in the transmission data in accordance with the specific angle. A vehicle-mounted receiver collects the detection values detected by the detecting section upon reception of the transmission data. The receiver collects the detection values for each piece of the transmission data transmitted at the same specific angle based on a manner in which data included in the received transmission data is changed in accordance with the specific angle.

Transmitter, receiver, and transmission/reception system

A fuel solution introducing method introduces a fuel solution into a tire. The tire includes a transmitter configured to transmit data that includes a detection result detected by a sensor to a receiver. The transmitter is operated with, as a power source, an organic power generation element configured to generate power through a chemical reaction with organic matter contained in the fuel solution. The fuel solution introducing method includes introducing the fuel solution and gas into the tire from a tire valve arranged on a wheel to which the tire is attached.

A tire condition monitoring system includes transmitters that are respectively attached to wheel assemblies of a vehicle. Each transmitter includes a power source, a data generating section, a storage section that stores a correspondence relationship in which ranges obtained by dividing possible values of the detection value of a traveling state detecting section are respectively assigned to a plurality of specific angles set for the rotation angles of the wheel assemblies, and a transmission control section capable of performing specific angle transmission in which the transmission control section transmits the transmission data from the transmitting section when detecting that the rotation angle of the wheel assembly is any of the specific angles. When performing the specific angle transmission, the transmission control section transmits the transmission data when detecting that the rotation angle is the specific angle that corresponds to the detection value of the traveling state detecting section.

Tire condition monitoring system, transmitter, and receiver

A transmitter includes a condition detecting section, which detects a condition of a tire, a memory section, which stores identification information, a transmitting section, which transmits a data signal, a trigger receiving section, which receives a trigger signal transmitted from a trigger device, and a controlling section. When the trigger receiving section receives the trigger signal, the controlling section generates data corresponding to the trigger signal and causes the transmitting section to transmit the data signal, which includes the generated data. The controlling section generates encrypted data when the trigger receiving section receives a trigger signal of unmodulated waves. The controlling section generates non-encrypted data that includes the identification information when the trigger receiving section receives a trigger signal of modulated waves.

Tire condition detecting device

When receiving a transmission signal, a reception controller obtains a pulse count value of each of rotation sensor units. Next, the reception controller compares, with a threshold, the difference between the obtained pulse count value and a previously obtained pulse count value. The reception controller identifies, based on the result of comparison between the difference between pulse count values and the threshold, the positions of wheel assemblies, in each of which a transmitter is provided.

Wheel position identification device

A tire condition detecting device includes a controlling section that determines whether there is an anomaly in the tire based on the condition of the tire detected by the condition detecting section. A protocol that is designated by a trigger device is defined as a first protocol, and protocols that are not designated by the trigger device are defined as second protocols. When determining that there is no anomaly in the tire, the controlling section causes the transmission section to transmit only the data signals using the first protocol. When determining that there is an anomaly in the tire, the controlling section causes the transmission section to transmit the data signals using the second protocols in addition to the data signals using the first protocol.

Each of transmitters attached to respective wheel assemblies transmits transmission data when the wheel assembly reaches any of specific angles set at equal angular intervals. A receiver mounted in the vehicle obtains the rotation angles of the wheel assemblies from a rotation angle detecting section upon reception of the transmission data and obtains specific rotation angles by correcting the obtained rotation angles by using the value of the angle difference between the specific angles. The specific rotation angles are values that can be regarded as rotation angles that are obtained upon reception of the transmission data transmitted at the same specific angle. The receiver identifies the correspondence between ID codes included in the transmission data and the wheel assemblies by using the specific rotation angles.

Receiver

A reception control section obtains a rotation angle of each wheel assembly when a reception circuit receives transmission data. The reception control section calculates the absolute value of the difference between the obtained rotation angle and a previously obtained rotation angle. The reception control section determines whether the absolute value of the difference is included in a reference range or a specific range. The reference range includes 0. The specific range includes the angle difference between specific angles.
