Provided is a water-absorbing agent that causes no or little fluctuation of feed rate when fed with use of a feeder. A water-absorbing agent containing a water-absorbing resin as a main component, the water-absorbing agent satisfying the following (a) and (b): (a) K-index is 70 or more; and (b) Moisture absorption blocking ratio, after 30 minutes of standing at a temperature of 25&#xb0; C. and a relative humidity of 80% RH, is 70 weight % or less, the K-index being defined by the following equation: K-index=100&#x2212;(&#x2212;438+3.6&#xd7;angle of repose+3.5&#xd7;angle of difference+7.9&#xd7;compressibility rate+290&#xd7;bulk density (EDANA method)).

Absorption agent and absorbent article

An object of the present invention is to provide (i) a water absorbent agent composition which has an excellent additional function (a deodorizing function in particular), which stably carries out the additional function even after being stored for a long term, and which is less stressful to skin when used as an absorbent article, (ii) a method for producing the water absorbent agent composition, and (iii) an absorbent core and an absorbent article. The water absorbent agent composition contains: a polycarboxylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin as a main component; a natural ingredient; and a temporal deterioration preventing agent. Further, a water absorbent agent composition is produced by simultaneously or separately mixing a natural ingredient and a temporal deterioration preventing agent with a water absorbent resin which is a crosslinked polymer of unsaturated monomers having carboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof.

The present invention (a) provides, at low cost, a water absorbing agent (i) that has a suppressed amount of generated dust and a suppressed amount of dust that increases over time and (ii) that also has a high absorption capacity without load, a high absorption capacity under load, a high vertical diffusion absorbency under load, and a high absorbency in a short period of time, and (b) also provides a method for evaluating, in a short period of time, an amount of dust that increases over time. Particulate water absorbing agent and process for producing same

A water-absorbent resin composition suffering exfoliation of additives from a water-absorbent resin only insignificantly and excelling in fluidity of powder after absorption of moisture and in deodorizing property and absorbent property as well is provided. Water-absorbent resin composition and method for producing thereof, and absorbent material and absorbent product using thereof

A particulate water-absorbing agent containing a surface-crosslinked polyacrylic acid (salt)-type water-absorbing resin as a main component and at least one spacer selected from a polycation and water-insoluble fine particles. The particulate water-absorbing agent has a free swell capacity (FSC) of 55 to 65 g/g, an absorption against pressure (AAP&#x2014;4.83 kPa) of 20 to 30 g/g, and a vertical diffusion absorption amount under pressure (VDAUP&#x2014;4.83 kPa) of 30 to 80 g. A water absorbing agent of the present invention has an internal crosslinking structure obtained by polymerization of a water-soluble unsaturated monomer. Polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin powder and method for producing the same

An object is to provide a water absorbent resin composition containing a water absorbent resin as a main component, with excellent deodorant property and antimicrobial property without impairing appearance and absorption characteristics of the water absorbent resin. The water absorbent resin composition according to the first aspect includes a water absorbent resin containing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water absorbent resin as a main component, and an extract of bamboo and an extract of tea. A water-absorbent composition includes: a specific plant extract; a water-absorbent resin whose surface portion and/or periphery thereof is treated; and/or a water-absorbent resin having a specific property. Specifically, it is preferable to use a water-absorbent resin having three characteristics: (1) a specific neutralization rate, (2) a specific particle diameter, and (3) a specific plant extract.
