The present invention provides an emulsified gel composition comprising a physiologically active substance, water, a gelling agent, an anti-peeling agent, and a surfactant having an HLB value of 18 to 20, in which the gelling agent is a nonionic water-soluble polymer, and the anti-peeling agent is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of sucrose, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol, glycerin, a (meth)acrylic-based polymer compound, and a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil.

Gel patch

It is intended to provide a sheet-type patch which is safe to the skin, imparts a good feel in using, shows an excellent function as well as a cooling effect on the affected part, can be easily torn by hand into a desired size even in the state of a preparation provided with a release film bonded thereto, and can be stably used or stored after tearing. Namely, a sheet-type patch composed of a support made from yarns of 1 to 80 mm in fiber length, an ointment base and a release film having been punched so as to give pores of 10 to 1200 &#x3bc;m in size.

Sheet-type patch

A patch comprising a backing layer and a adhesive layer formed on the back face of the backing layer wherein a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric made of a rayon and pulp fiber mixture is employed as the backing layer and the mixing ratio thereof is from 3:7 to 7:3. When employed in taping a finger, a wrist, an ankle, neck, an elbow, a knee or the like, the patch would not soon curl up or peel off at an overlapping part. After the patch is adhered and then stripped off, no fiber piece remains on the pressure-sensitive adhesive face of the backing layer so that the adhesive force of the patch can be sustained in the case of re-adhesion.

The preparation preferably has a quantity of heat required for water evaporation of 0.6 to 13 (cal) per unit area (cm) when exposed for 30 minutes to an atmosphere of 25&#xb0; C. and 60% Rh.
