An electrode structure disposed on the outer circumference of a core metal of a steering wheel provided in a vehicle includes an insulator and a first electrode disposed on a first surface of the insulator that is on an opposite side of the insulator relative to a surface of the insulator that faces the core metal of the steering wheel. The insulator includes an engagement portion that engages a first engagement-target portion included in the core metal.

Electrode structure, steering wheel, and method for manufacturing steering wheel

The electrode structure is an electrode structure disposed in a steering wheel provided in a vehicle, the electrode structure including: an insulator; a first electrode disposed on a first surface of the insulator, the first surface being a surface facing a core metal of the steering wheel; a second electrode disposed on a second surface, the second surface being a surface opposite to the first surface of the insulator; a protrusion protruding from the insulator toward the core metal; and an engagement portion that is engaged with the core metal.

The electrode connection structure includes: a first base material; a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer that are located on the first base material; a second base material; a first fastening member and a second fastening member; and an insulating member, wherein the first fastening member includes: a shaft portion inserted in a first through hole penetrating the first electrode layer and the insulating member; and two clamping portions that clamp a periphery of the first through hole in each of the first electrode layer and the insulating member, and the second fastening member includes: a shaft portion inserted in a second through hole penetrating the second electrode layer and the insulating member; and two clamping portions that clamp a periphery of the second through hole in each of the second electrode layer and the insulating member.

Electrode connection structure and electrode connection method

The electrostatic detection sensor has a first electrode, a second electrode, and a third electrode. A controller connects the first electrode and the second electrode, and applies a first drive voltage thereto to obtain a first intensity. The controller applies a second drive voltage to the first electrode while keeping the second electrode and the third electrode at a ground potential to obtain a second intensity. The controller applies a third drive voltage to the third electrode while grounding the first electrode to the ground potential and keeping the second electrode open to obtain a third intensity. Then, the controller determines whether an object is approaching based on first, second, and third computed values which are computed temporal changes in the first, second, and third intensities, respectively.

Electrostatic detection sensor

A rotation angle detection device includes a lever, a cylindrical part, a magnet, and a magnetic sensing element. The lever includes a base and a shaft projecting in the direction of the rotation axis of the base and integrated with the base. The cylindrical part has a first end close to or in contact with the base, and a second end opposite to the first end and farther from the base than the first end. The shaft is inserted in the cylindrical part and is rotatably supported by the cylindrical part. The magnet is attached to the end of the shaft. The magnetic sensing element faces the magnet with a predetermined gap therebetween.
