An image storing apparatus comprises reading unit for reading an original image, storing unit for storing the image from the reading unit, retrieving unit for retrieving the image stored in the storing unit in accordance with retrieval information, and printing unit for printing an image representing the retrieval information on the original.

Image storing apparatus

A film carrier is provided with a roll carrier for supporting a roll film and a sheet carrier for supporting a sheet film, and is arranged to use either one of the carriers as selectively positioning it in a projection optical path. In the film carrier, the sheet carrier is moved to a first retracting position not to interfere with the roll carrier outside the projection optical path when the roll carrier is located on the projection optical path. In contrast, the roll carrier is moved to a second retracting position not to interfere with the sheet carrier outside the projection optical path when the sheet carrier is located on the projection optical path. The sheet carrier and the roll carrier at the first and second retracting positions are arranged so that at least parts thereof overlap vertically.

Film carrier and projection apparatus

A liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal cell including a pair of substrates each having an alignment film on the surface thereof, and a liquid crystal filled in a space between the substrates, which is provided with a plurality of alignment regions, each region having the direction of alignment or the rise direction of liquid crystal molecule different from another region within a display region. The alignment film comprises a polyimide having a glass transition point of 300.degree. to 400.degree. C., a skeleton having no two-revolution axis, non-conjugated carbon occupying 10 to 60% of the total number of carbon excluding carbon atoms directly connected to imido group, a relative dielectric constant of 4 to 7 at a frequency of 1kH and at a temperature of 20.degree. C., or an imidization degree of not less than 90%, or a polyimide obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic acid di-anhydride with a di-amine compound, or a polyimide obtained by imidizing a polyimide, the tetracarboxylic acid di-anhydride moiety being prohibited of the free rotation thereof.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal cell including a pair of substrates each having an alignment film on the surface thereof, and a liquid crystal filled in a space between the substrates, which is provided with a plurality of alignment regions, each region having the direction of alignment or the rise direction of liquid crystal molecule different from another region within a display region. The alignment film comprises a polyimide having a glass transition point of 300.degree. to 400.degree. C., a skeleton having no two-revolution axis, non-conjugated carbon occupying 10 to 60% of the total number of carbon excluding carbon atoms directly connected to imido group, a relative dielectric constant of 4 to 7 at a frequency of 1 kH and at a temperature of 20.degree. C., or an imidization degree of not less than 90%, or a polyimide obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic acid di-anhydride with a di-amine compound, or a polyimide obtained by imidizing a polyimide, the tetracarboxylic acid di-anhydride moiety being prohibited of the free rotation thereof.

An image projection apparatus detects whether or not a film sheet such as a microfiche is clamped between a pair of transparent members upon energization of the apparatus, performs index frame projection when the film sheet is clamped therebetween, and performs ejection when the film sheet is not clamped therebetween, thereby preventing damage to the film sheet and the jam state.

Image projection apparatus

An image recording apparatus includes a lamp, a CCD array, an image density adjustor, first and second shutter drivers, first and second shutters, an image area discriminating circuit, and a microcomputer. The lamp illuminates an image and retrieval information of a microfilm having the image and the retrieval information at the side of the image. The CCD array receives light from the image and the retrieval information on the microfilm illuminated by the lamp. The image density adjustor, first and second shutter drivers, and first and second shutters cooperate with each other to record the image of the microfilm on a recording medium. The image area discriminating circuit discriminates the image from the retrieval information according to an output from the CCD array. The microcomputer controls the image density adjustor and the first and second shutter drivers so as not to record the retrieval information on the recording medium according to an output from the image area discriminating circuit.

Image recording apparatus for recording only the image area of a film

A microfiche carrier has a lower transparent plate supporting a microfiche thereon and changeable over into a horizontal posture and an inclined posture, an upper transparent plate openable and closable relative to the lower transparent plate and urging the microfiche against the lower transparent plate, a posture changing device for changing the posture of the lower transparent plate, and a movable member holding the upper transparent plate and the lower transparent plate and movable along a horizontal plane.
