A detecting unit () detects radiation. A data acquiring block () creates basic data equivalent to the count per unit time of the detected radiation. A data processing block () compares the basic data with a threshold and generates a annunciation control signal when the basic data is above the threshold. An annunciation block () generates a detection sound in response to the annunciation control signal. A computing block () computes the threshold by using a coefficient specified by means of an input device () and the maximum value of the basic data stored in a storage block (). When the user repetitively examines a region () to be measured while gradually increasing the threshold, the region where the detection sound is generated is gradually narrowed. With this, a portion () where radiation is concentrated in the region () can be found out.

Radiation detector

A radiation detectordetects radiation that passed through a specimenby discriminating it by a plurality of energy regions. The radiation detectorincludes a radiation detecting sectionwhich generates output signals corresponding to energy of the incident radiation, and a signal processing sectionwhich discriminates output signals by first through N-th signal discrimination thresholds Tthrough Tand acquires regional counts Athrough Aas radiation counts in the plurality of energy regions Wthrough Wby counting the discriminated output signals. Radiation detector and radiation detecting method

A sound output portion, a power supply switch, and a power supply portion, which are provided at a detachable portion A of a manipulation gripare configured to be detachable from a main body portion B of the manipulation grip. Accordingly, upon sterilization using a sterilizing gas such as an EOG, the sound output portion, the power supply switch, and the power supply portioncan be removed on a detachable portion A basis. This in turn allows for using a sterilizing gas such as EOG to sterilize the radiation detector except the sound output portion, the power supply switch, and the power supply portion, thereby preventing damage caused by a negative pressure in the sound output portion

When a semiconductor sensor element used for detecting high-energy x-rays and gamma rays and an amplifier are connected via wires, the capacitances vary depending on the wires, thereby causing a sensitivity variation. To solve this, a structure for making the capacitances uniform is proposed. If a staggered arrangement is used for high resolution, the capacitances by wiring are different from element to element, so dummy sensor mounting sections () are provided to electrode sections () to make the capacitance uniform. The width of the connection section is decreased depending on the wiring length so as to make the capacitance uniform.

Ultra-high resolution pixel electrode arrangement structure and signal processing method

When the distal end of a radiation detection probe () is directed toward a place to be measured, pointer light emitted by a light-emitting device () sequentially passes through a transmission window (C) of a radiation detection element () and a projection window (E) of a probe cover () to be emitted onto the place to be measured. This pointer light clearly indicates the place as a bright spot. The radiation from the place passes through the distal end of the probe cover () to be collimated by a radiation-introducing window (A) of a side shield (), and then enters the radiation detection element (). The dose of the radiation is detected in this way.

A radiation detector having a head and a main body. The head has a probe and a first articulation. The probe contains a radiation detection element, and is movable due to the first articulation. Separately from the first articulation, a second articulation is provided on the main body or the head or therebetween. Accordingly, the radiation detector can move in a different way that allowed for by the first articulation. Combining the motion by the first articulation with the motion by the second articulation increases flexibility of handling the radiation detector. Hence the radiation detector has improved ease of operation.

A radiation detector has a main body (), and a radiation detection probe () detachably attached to the distal end of the main body (). The probe () includes a detection unit () accommodating a radiation detection element (), a cap-shaped shield member () mounted to the detection unit () so as to cover the distal end of the detection unit (), and a probe cover () accommodating the detection unit () and the shield member (). A connector () onto which the probe () is adapted to be screwed is provided on the distal end of the main body (). A collimator (A) for collimating incident radiation is provided on the distal end of the shield member ().

An image-forming apparatus which does not adversely affect its surrounding environment when in use, which has excellent durability, and which is safe to use is provided. A photosensitive layer is disposed on the outer surface of a rotatable closed-loop substrate drum. A charger, an exposure portion, a developing portion, a transfer portion, a fixing portion, and a cleaner are provided around the substrate drum. The charger includes an X-ray generator, which electrolytically dissociates the air on the surface of the photosensitive layer upon X-ray irradiation, and electric-field generator which guides a gaseous ion formed by electrolytic dissociation to the surface of the photosensitive layer. The cleaner is constituted by erasure X-ray generation means which ionizes the air on the photosensitive layer, in which a coloring fine particle remains, upon irradiation with an X-ray irradiation, while generating a carrier within the photosensitive layer.

Image-forming apparatus using X-ray for charging and cleaning a

An image-forming apparatus which does not unfavorably influence its surrounding environment when in use and is excellent in durability of use and safety is provided. In the image-forming apparatus, a photosensitive layer is disposed on the outer surface of a closed-loop substrate drum, while a charge device, an exposure device, a developing device, a transfer device, a fixing device, and a cleaning device are provided around the substrate drum. The substrate drum is made of a light element. The charge device is constituted by a charging X-ray generation member, which is disposed within the substrate drum and emits an X-ray through the substrate drum and photosensitive layer so as to electrolytically dissociate the air on the surface of the photosensitive layer, and an electric-field application member which guides, by means of an electric field, a gaseous ion formed by this electrolytic dissociation to the surface of the photosensitive layer. The cleaning device is constituted by an erasure X-ray generation member which ionizes the air on the photosensitive layer, in which a coloring fine particle remains, upon irradiation of an X-ray emitted from within the substrate drum through the substrate drum and the photosensitive layer, while generating a carrier within the photosensitive layer.
