The information processing system includes a server and an electronic device. The electronic device includes a communicating unit; a position detector detecting a position; an information acquiring unit acquiring position information for each of a plurality of other electronic devices and error information that indicates an error in the position information; a determining unit determining whether the electronic device is surrounded by the plurality of other electronic devices, and determining whether the electronic device is in a specific state; and a transmission control unit transmitting correction information that includes the position and the position information to the server when the electronic device is determined to be surrounded by the plurality of other electronic devices and to be in the specific state. The server corrects the position of the electronic device based on the correction information.

A display device configured to emit image light to display an image, and a camera or an illuminance sensor as an external light sensor configured to sense external light are provided, and the camera or the illuminance sensor is positioned to overlap a visually transparent light-guiding unit forming a front-of-eye part of the display device in an emission direction of the image light. Thus, the direction of sensing the external light in the illuminance sensor and the camera is set correspondingly to the direction of the line of sight of the viewer and a state, where these are located in the proximity of the eye of the viewer, is maintained.

A transparent light-guiding unit for guiding imaging light, a positioning portion provided at the transparent light-guiding unit, a camera for performing space detection of an external space, and a camera holder that contacts the positioning portion and is attached to the transparent light-guiding unit, and holds the camera are provided. In this case, the camera holder contacts the positioning portion, thus, when the camera is attached to the transparent light-guiding unit, high positional accuracy is reliably maintained.

A head-mounted display apparatus includes a display unit, a support portion configured to support the display unit, and a cover member is removably provided to the support portion. The cover member includes a contact portion that is positioned on a facing surface facing the support portion and that comes into contact with the support portion, and a first protruding portion that is positioned on the facing surface and that protrudes toward the support portion to be inserted into the support portion. At least one of the cover member and the support portion includes a magnet that attracts the other one by a magnetic force. The contact portion and the first protruding portion are provided on an inner side with respect to an outer edge of the cover member when the cover member is viewed in the direction opposite to the first direction.
