A corona discharge device includes a charging-section high-voltage electrode unit including a plurality of charging-section high-voltage electrodes, and a charging-section ground electrode unit includes a plurality of charging-section ground electrodes formed by flat plates. The plurality of charging-section high-voltage electrodes are arranged at intervals in a direction intersecting an airflow in an air path, and are connected to one another at at least one longitudinal end by a conductive frame portion. The plurality of charging-section ground electrodes are disposed between the charging-section high-voltage electrodes in an orientation such that flat surfaces thereof are substantially parallel to the airflow in the air path, and are connected at at least one longitudinal end by a conductive frame portion. The plurality of charging-section high-voltage electrodes and the plurality of charging-section ground electrodes are alternately stacked in the direction intersecting the airflow in the air path to be spaced apart from each other.

The present invention provides a method for reducing concentrations of ozone and nitric acid produced in cooling air flowing through a circulating airflow path of a rotary electric machine, the method including: disposing an ozone decomposition unit containing an ozone decomposition catalyst in the circulating airflow path; and allowing the cooling air to pass through the ozone decomposition unit so as to decompose ozone and to suppress production of nitric acid. According to the present invention, the method and device are capable of reducing the concentrations of ozone and nitric acid produced in the cooling air flowing through the circulating airflow path of the rotary electric machine for a long period of time while preventing pressure loss.

It is intended to provide a volatile organic compound treatment apparatus having: an absorption treatment chamber in which absorption frames having absorbents for absorbing volatile organic compounds are aligned in a direction of a gas flow; an absorbent recovery treatment chamber that is provided with a discharge unit having a high voltage electrode, a ground electrode, and a dielectric; and a transfer mechanism for transferring the absorption frames present in an upstream of the gas flow to the absorbent recovery treatment chamber and transferring the absorption frames in the absorbent recovery treatment chamber to a downstream of the gas flow. Desorbed ozone can be safely treated even in the case of power failure or an abnormal driving condition in which high pressure or high temperature exists in the adsorption/desorption tower.
