An ECU serving as a transmission side and an ECU serving as a reception side are coupled to each other through communication lines and junction connectors. A diode in which a direction directed from a negative-side output terminal of the ECU serving as the transmission side to a positive-side output terminal thereof becomes a forward direction is provided between the positive-side output terminal and the negative-side output terminal.

Vehicle communication system

A transmission ECU on a transmission side and reception ECUs on a reception side are connected through communication lines and junction connectors. A delay circuit is provided in each of the junction connectors on the side of the reception ECUs. One end of the delay circuit is connected to the communication line on the side of the transmission ECU and the other end of the same is connected to the communication line on the side of the reception ECU. The communication lines on the both ends of the delay circuit are grounded through termination resistors.

A power distributing apparatus is provided to reduce the number of voltage converters. The power distributing apparatusincludes a power source partfor supplying a power of 42V, an electrical connection boxconnected with the partthrough a power lineand a plurality of electronic control units. The electrical connection boxhas a regular-supply converterto convert a high voltage of 42V to an intermediate voltage higher than a load voltage of 5V. The regular-supply convertercan exhibit a high conversion efficiency when the apparatus is operated under high load. Each of the electronic control unitshas a series regulatorto convert the intermediate voltage to the load voltage. Owing to the supply of voltage higher than the load voltage by the regular-supply converterthere is no need to consider inconvenience due to voltage drop between the converter and a remote load.

Power distribution apparatus for distributing power to various electrical loads

A load drive () having a pulse converter () and a DC/DC converter (). The pulse converter () is capable of converting a high DC voltage supplied from the power supply unit () of a vehicle to a pulse voltage and applies the pulse voltage to a first lamp (L). The DC/DC converter () operates to convert the high DC voltage to a low DC voltage whose voltage value is lower than the voltage value of the high DC voltage and applies the low DC voltage to a second lamp (L).

Load drive for driving lamps in vehicles

A load driving device of the invention includes an electric charge control unit , which charges a low-voltage battery with a direct-current voltage from a DC/DC converter that converts a high voltage from a high-voltage battery into a low voltage. Electric charge control device and load driving device using the same

An arc discharge preventing device is electrically connected to at least two electronic devices, the arc discharge preventing device. The arc discharge preventing device includes an insulating main body, a first terminal, a second terminal, a low conductive member, and a conductive member. The first terminal is provided on the insulating main body, and electrically connected to a first electronic device. The second terminal is provided on the insulating main body, and electrically connected to a second electronic device. The low conductive member is provided on the insulating main body, and having a first resistance value. The low conductive member is electrically connected to the first and second terminals. The conductive member is detachably mounted on the insulating main body, and having a second resistance value lower than the first resistance value. The conductive member is electrically connected to the first and second terminals when the conductive member is attached to the insulating main body.

Arc discharge preventing device

The electrical connection system includes a power source circuit for outputting a first voltage to operate a first load circuit. The power source circuit includes a conversion circuit for converting the first voltage into a second voltage lower than the first voltage. The system includes a second load circuit operative in response to the second voltage. The system includes a protection circuit for shunting the second load circuit with a threshold voltage between the first voltage and second voltage. The threshold voltage has identical influence on the second load circuit relative to the first voltage.

Power distribution system

An arc preventing circuit is disposed between a DC/DC converter and a battery (of 36 volts or 12 volts). In the arc preventing circuit , when the DC/DC converter and the battery are to be connected to each other, the connection is performed via a circuit having a resistor R , and then switched to that in which the connection is performed via a circuit not having the resistor R . When the DC/DC converter and the battery are to be disconnected from each other, the charging voltage of a capacitor C of the DC/DC converter is discharged. According to the configuration, arc generation can be prevented from occurring during works of mounting and dismounting the DC/DC converter.

In-vehicle electric power supply apparatus

A load driving apparatus is constituted with a high voltage power source, a low voltage power source, a first switching element, a second switching element, a lamp load, current detecting section, and PWM control section. The first switching element is connected to the high voltage power source which supplies a high voltage and is connected to the lamp load. The second switching element is connected to the low voltage power source which supplies a low voltage and is connected to the lamp load. The current detecting section detects a value of current flowing in the lamp load. The PWM control section is connected the first switching element, the second switching element, and the current detecting section to control a voltage to be supplied to the lamp load. The PWM control section turns the second switching element in ON state at first, and the low voltage is being supplied to the lamp load while the value of the current detected in the current detecting section is more than a predetermined value. Once the value of current detected by the current detected section becomes below the predetermined value, the PWM control section turns the second switching element in OFF state and drives the first switching element to supply the high voltage converted to a pulse voltage to the lamp load.

A power source system for a vehicle includes a generator for producing a power. The system includes a first battery for being charged by the generator to supply a power of a first voltage to a first load. The system includes a second battery for supplying a power of a second voltage to a second load. The system includes a converter for receiving a power of the first voltage from the first battery to convert the power of the first voltage into a power of the second voltage to be supplied to the second battery. The system includes a controller for controlling output of the converter, in accordance with one of states of the generator, a charge of the first battery, the first load, a charge of the second battery, and the second load.
