The air discharge device includes a duct defining: a main flow path through which an air flow passes; and a main hole opened in a flat shape to discharge the air flow as a working air flow toward a downstream from the main flow path. A throttle portion is provided in the duct to reduce a flow path height of the main flow path from an upstream of the air flow toward a downstream of the air flow. A plurality of partitions are arranged to divide the main flow path in a major direction into a pair of side flow paths and at least one center flow path. The plurality of partitions are disposed in the duct such that a flow path width of the center flow path is reduced from the upstream of the air flow toward the downstream of the air flow.

The operating chamber is changeable in accordance with a revolution of the movable scroll member to be defined between two sliding contact portions, and is dividable into first and second operating chambers. The second tooth portion is provided with a passage portion through which an introducing port for introducing a fluid to the operating chamber communicates with the second operating chamber when the introducing port communicates with the first operating chamber. The passage portion disconnects the introducing port from the second operating chamber when the introducing port is disconnected from the first operating chamber.

An expansion-and-compressor device of a fluid machine has a pump mode operation in which the expansion-and-compressor device is rotated by a driving force from a driving source to compress working fluid, and a motor mode operation in which the fluid pressure is converted into energy of movement to output kinetic energy. The fluid machine further has a transmission device for transmitting the driving force from the driving source with increased rotational speed, when the expansion-and-compressor device is operated in the pump mode operation.

A fluid machine has a compressor device for compressing refrigerant of a refrigerating cycle for an automotive vehicle, an electric rotating device operating as an electric motor for generating a rotational driving force to drive the compressor device or operating as an electric power generator, an expansion device for collecting waste heat from an engine and generating a rotational driving force to drive the electric rotating device and/or the compressor device, and a switching device for connecting or disconnecting the compressor device with or from the expansion device. In the fluid machine, the waste heat from the engine can be always collected by the expansion device, irrespectively whether or not the compressor device is operating for an air conditioning operation.

A fluid machine according to the present invention has an expansion-and-compressor device selectively operating as an expansion device for collecting waste heat from an internal combustion engine and converting the collected heat energy into mechanical rotational force, and as a compressor device for compressing refrigerant for a refrigerating cycle for air conditioner. The fluid machine further comprises an electric rotating device selectively operating as an electric power generator and as an electric motor. A power transmission device is further provided between the expansion-and-compressor device and the electric rotating device for selectively transmitting the rotational force from the expansion-and-compressor device to the electric rotating device and vice versa. The power transmission device is composed of a planetary gear train so that it can change rotational speed to be transmitted to the expansion-and-compressor device or to the electric rotating device. Accordingly, the expansion-and-compressor device as well as the electric rotating device can be operated at their most efficient rotational speed.

The pilot injection initiating timing TTP, the pilot injection period TP, the main injection initiating timing TTM, and the main injection period TM are obtained on the basis of the pilot injection amount QP, the main injection amount QM, the fundamental injection initiating timing KT and the common rail pressure Pc (S150). The main injection period correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the injection initiating timing correction shift amount .DELTA.T are then obtained on the basis of the pilot injection period TP and the time lag TDF (S160). Finally, modified by these correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the shift amount .DELTA.T, the pilot injection initiating timing TTP', the main injection initiating timing TTM' and the main injection period TM' are obtained as final values (S170). With this arrangement, a fuel injection control apparatus for an internal combustion engine becomes capable of reducing adverse affects of residual magnetic flux and the pressure pulsation in the fuel injection initiating timing of the main injection, thereby suppressing smoke generation and realizing an optimum fuel injection.

Fuel injection control apparatus for internal combustion engine

In order to perform fuel injection control for a diesel engine, data read by an ignition timing data reading means is compared with a reference data to calculate an ignition timing difference. The ignition timing error is compared with a predetermined threshold value to decide whether or not the ignition timing difference exceeds the predetermined threshold value. A pilot injection timing correction data is generated in accordance with the result of the decision. The pilot injection timing control data is instructed in accordance with the pilot injection timing correction data, and pilot injection timing control is performed in accordance with the pilot injection timing control instruction. A feedback control of a signal based on an output from the ignition timing detector is used for control of a pilot injection timing, so that ignition at a desired ignition timing is performed.

Fuel injection control for diesel engine

A fuel supply device in which a regulator pressurizes fuel fed to a fuel injector to adjust the fuel to a predetermined pressure according to an engine condition. The regulator has a piston in a housing to form a control chamber and a high pressure chamber therein. The high pressure chamber is communicated with the fuel injector and a pump chamber of a high pressure pump discharging a highly pressurized fuel. The control chamber is connected to a pressure source generating a high pressure according to an engine condition. The piston moves in response to the pressure in the control chamber to pressurize the fuel in the high pressure chamber.

A fuel injection apparatus including a fuel injector, a high pressure feed pump, and an auxiliary pump.
