The stent has an expansive force 0.05 N/mm or less per unit length when it has a diameter equal to the lower limit diameter of the target blood vessel and is measured under the following conditions. A radial force testing system manufactured by Blockwise Engineering LLC is used as a tester. The test conditions include a temperature of 37° C.±2° C. in the chamber of the tester; a stent diameter of 0.5 mm for start of test, and a rate of increase of diameter of 0.5 mm/s in the tester. The test method includes radially compressing the stent disposed in the chamber; recording an expansive force while gradually increasing the diameter of the chamber at the rate of increase of diameter; and dividing the expansive force by the effective length of the stent to calculate an expansive force per unit length.

Stent and catheter-stent system

A stent includes wavy-line pattern bodies having a wavy-line pattern and arranged side-by-side in an axial direction LD, and coiled elements arranged between the wavy-line pattern bodies adjacent and extending in a spiral manner around an axis. All apices on opposite sides of the wavy-line pattern of the wavy-line pattern bodies that are adjacent are connected by way of the coiled element. When viewing in a radial direction RD, a circular direction CD of the wavy-line pattern bodies is inclined with respect to the radial direction RD, and a winding direction of one of the coiled elements located at one side in the axial direction LD with respect to the wavy-line pattern bodies and a winding direction of one other of the coiled elements located at the other side in the axial direction LD are opposite.

Highly flexible stent

Stent

Provided is a flexible stent with which it is possible to further improve visibility of an impermeable member which is disposed upon a stent and to further improve operability of the stent. Provided is a flexible stent, comprising: a plurality of ring-shaped pattern bodieswhich have a wavy line-shaped pattern and are positioned side by side in an axial direction LD; and a plurality of connecting elementswhich connect the adjacent ring-shaped pattern bodies. When viewed in a radial direction RD which is perpendicular to the axial direction LD, a ring direction CD of the ring-shaped pattern bodiesis or is not oblique with respect to the radial direction RD. A plurality of impermeable memberswhich are highly impermeable to radiation are disposed upon and/or positioned in proximity to struts which configure the ring-shaped pattern bodiesand/or the connecting elements. The plurality of impermeable membersare arrayed regularly along one or more of the ring direction CD, an axial direction LD, or a circumference direction of the flexible stent.

Flexible stent

Provided is a flexible stent in which a free end strut does not tend to project outside when the stent is bent and shortening can be suppressed at the time of expansion of the stent. The flexible stent includes annular bodies having a wavy line pattern and connection elements that connect the annular bodies. The wavy line pattern is formed by V-shaped elements, in which two leg parts are joined by an apex part, being connected in a state where the apex parts alternately face opposite directions in an axial direction. A bending direction of one end part of the connection element and a bending direction of another end part thereof are opposite to one another. The end part of the connection element is connected to a portion other than the apex part of the V-shaped element of the adjacent annular body with the end part of the connection element being extended in a direction different from the direction in which the leg part extends. When viewed in a radial direction (RD), the direction in which an intermediate part of the connection element extends is oblique to the axial direction (LD). One of the two leg parts extends along the intermediate part of the connection element.

A stent includes: wavy-line pattern bodies having a wavy-line pattern and arranged side-by-side in an axial direction; and coiled elements arranged between the wavy-line pattern bodies adjacent and extending in a spiral manner around an axis, in which all apices on opposite sides of the wavy-line pattern of the wavy-line pattern bodies that are adjacent are connected by way of the coiled element. When viewing in a radial direction, a circular direction-of the wavy-line pattern bodies is inclined with respect to the radial direction, and a winding direction of one of the coiled elements located at one side in the axial direction with respect to the wavy-line pattern bodies and a winding direction of one other of the coiled elements located at the other side in the axial direction are opposite.

A stent has circular bodies having a wavy-line pattern and arranged side-by-side and coiled elementsarranged between the circular bodies that are adjacent and extending in a spiral manner, and apices on opposite sides of the wavy-line pattern of the circular bodies that are adjacent are connected by way of the coiled elements. A knob portionis formed at each apex of the wavy-line pattern, and the knob portionincludes an extension portionextending in the axis direction and a semicircle portionformed at a tip of the extension portion, and the coiled elementis connected with the knob portion. A slit is formed at a part of the extension portionof the knob portion, and the slitextends in the axis direction from an inner peripheral portion at the apex of the wavy-line pattern of the circular body.
