A portable terminal according to the present invention has a first casing, a second casing and a third casing overlapped in the order from the bottom toward the top. And the portable terminal according to the present invention includes: a slide section slidably coupling the first casing and the second casing; a first hinge section rotatably coupling the second casing and the third casing around a first rotation axis; and a second hinge section that enables the third casing to be rotatable relative to the second casing around a second rotation axis that is approximately perpendicular to the first rotation axis.

Portable terminal

This portable terminal includes an operating portion-side housing having an operating portion-side guide portion, a display portion-side housing having a display portion-side guide portion, a sliding plate arranged between the display portion-side housing and the operating portion-side housing, a first sliding member, and a second sliding member. The operating portion-side guide portion is engaged with the sliding plate through the first sliding member, and the display portion-side guide portion is engaged with the sliding plate through the second sliding member.

A slide support mechanism included in a portable terminal includes: a first guide groove provided on a first housing side, and having a straight part parallel to the longitudinal direction of a display screen and an arc-shaped arc part continuous with one end of the straight part; and a first guide pin provided on a second housing side, and engaged with and held by the first guide groove in a slidable manner. Input parts which are covered by the second housing when the first guide pin is located at a cross-point between the straight part and the arc part are entirely or partially exposed in both cases of moving the first guide pin located at the cross-point between the straight part and the arc part along the straight part, and moving it along the arc part.
