In an air conditioner with an inside/outside air unit and an air conditioning unit, an attachment stay having an elongated hole is provided in the inside/outside air unit, and a pin is provided in the air conditioning unit to be fitted into the elongated hole of the attachment stay so that an attachment position between both units are determined. A hook portion is provided in the pin at a top end to form a recess portion between the hook portion and a wall surface of the air conditioning unit, and a plate portion of the attachment stay, defining the elongated hole, is disposed to be engaged with the recess portion after the pin is inserted into the elongated hole.

In an air passage switching door, a packing material having a size approximately corresponding to a plate surface of a door base member is used, and the door base member is crossed with the packing material at a portion around a rotation shaft for rotating the door base member, so that both plate portions of the door base member are bonded to opposite surfaces of the packing material at different areas of the packing material. Accordingly, the air passage switching door can be manufactured using the single packing material.

Method for manufacturing an air passage switching door

In an air passage switching door, a packing material having a size approximately corresponding to a plate surface of a door base member is used, and the door base member is crossed with the packing material at a portion around a rotation shaft for rotating the door base member, so that both plate portions of the door base member are bonded to opposite surfaces of the packing material at different areas of the packing material. Accordingly, the air passage switching door can be manufactured using the single packing material in low cost, while having a reduced thickness.

In an expansion valve of a refrigerant cycle, only by covering a diaphragm case and a part of a body case using a single vibration-proof member made of a rubber material, vibration in the diaphragm case can be effectively restricted. Because it is unnecessary to cover all surface of the expansion valve, the dimension of the vibration-proof member can be greatly reduced, and pipe connecting/removing operation in the expansion valve can be readily performed. Accordingly, a material cost of the vibration-proof member can be reduced, while noise caused due to the vibration of the expansion valve can be effectively reduced.

In an inside/outside air switching device, a rotary door includes a circumference wall provided at an upper side of a rotation shaft to extend in a rotation direction, both fan-like side plates connecting the circumference wall and the rotation shaft at both sides in an axial direction of the rotation shaft, a protrusion wall provided along an entire periphery of the circumference wall and the side plates to protrude to an outside of the rotary door, and a packing member provided at both surface sides of the protrusion wall. A clearance equal to or larger than a predetermined dimension is provided between the protrusion wall around a lower side of the rotation shaft and a seal surface of an inside/outside air switching box, for preventing a water storage.

Inside/outside air switching device with rotary door

In an inside/outside air switching device, a seal member is provided at a position around a rotation center axial line of a rotary door, for sealing an inside/outside air switching box in an axial direction. The rotary door is disposed to be elastically deformable in such a manner that at least both parts of side wall plates of the rotary door around the rotation center axial line are displaced away from each other by a dynamical pressure of a vehicle travelling, applied to an outer wall plate of the rotary door, in an inside air mode. The seal member press-contacts the inside/outside air switching box when at least both the parts of the side wall plates around the rotation center axial line are displaced away from each other.

An inside/outside air switching box has first and second inside air introduction ports, and an outside air introduction port. An inside/outside air switching door is disposed to open and close the first inside air introduction port and the outside air introduction port, and the second inside air introduction port is opened and closed by an inside air auxiliary door operated due to a pressure difference generated by operation of a blower fan between an inner side of the inside/outside air switching box and an inner side of a passenger compartment. Accordingly, even in an outside air introduction mode, inside air can be introduced from the second inside air introduction port.

Inside/outside air switching device having first and second inside air introduction ports

In an attachment structure for attaching a door to a case, plural first ribs and plural second ribs are provided in an inner wall surface defining an attachment hole of the case at different positions shifted from each other in a circumferential direction of the attachment hole. The first ribs and the second ribs protrude from the inner wall surface to an inner radial side in the attachment hole. In addition, each first rib and each second rib are positioned at different position in an axial direction of the attachment hole. Accordingly, when a shaft of the door is inserted into the attachment hole of the case, door attachment performance can be improved.

According to the present invention, in an air conditioning apparatus setting a double laminar mode in which inside air and outside air are blown while being partitioned, when the maximum heating state (including the high heating capacity close to the maximum heating operation) is set, a warm air bypass door for introducing warm air directly into a foot opening portion, without being mixed into cool air, functions as a movable partition member for partitioning an air passage at a downstream side of a heating heat exchanger, into an inside air passage and an outside air passage. In this way, it is possible to downsize the air conditioning unit.

Air conditioning apparatus for vehicle

A blower unit includes a centrifugal fan, a fan casing forming a scroll-shaped air passage and accommodating the centrifugal fan, and a partition wall for partitioning an interior of the fan casing into first and second air passages in which different kinds of airs flow, respectively, in the axial direction. The partition wall is molded integrally to the fan casing so as to extend linearly from the inner wall surface of the fan casing toward a radial inside of the fan. The fan casing includes two divided cases having a divided face in the axial direction. In this way, the number of divided cases can be as well as the number of steps of assembling the fan casing can be reduced so that the work efficiency for assembling the fan casing is improved.

Blower unit and air conditioner employing the same

According to the present invention, a blower unit includes a centrifugal fan, a fan casing forming a scroll-shaped air passage and accommodating the centrifugal fan, and a partition wall for partitioning an interior of the fan casing into first and second air passages in which different kinds of airs flow, respectively, in the axial direction. A motor vehicle air conditioner that is operative to cause the quantity of conditioned air to change smoothly when an air conditioner bypass passage is opened/closed. When a user switches a typical automotive air conditioner between a bi-level flow mode and a full outer-air mode, a warm-air bypass door does not stop at an intermediate position, thus causing both air quantity of conditioned air and blown-air temperature of conditioned air to change greatly. In the air conditioner of the present invention, the air conditioner warm-air bypass door stops once at an intermediate position, thus enabling the air quantity of the conditioned air and the temperature change in the blown-air to change gradually.

Automotive air conditioner with warm air bypass passage to boost heating

According to the present invention, in an air conditioning apparatus setting a double laminar mode in which an inside air and an outside air are blown while being partitioned, when the maximum heating state is set during an air outlet mode in which air is blown out simultaneously from both of a foot opening portion toward feet of a passenger and a defroster opening portion toward a windshield, a passage for conditioned air is partitioned into a first air passage for the inside air and a second air passage for the outside air. The first air passage is communicated with the foot opening portion, and the second air passage is communicated with the defroster opening portion. In the double laminar mode, at an air downstream side of a heating heat exchanger, there is formed a communication path communicating between the first air passage and the second air passage, and an amount of the outside air at the side of the second air passage is set to be larger than that of the inside air at the side of the first air passage, so that the outside air in the second passage flows into the first air passage through the communication path. In this way, it is possible to improve a defrosting performance of the windshield.

An air conditioning apparatus includes a seal wall having a seal surface to which one end surface of an air mixing door is contacted in the maximum heating state. A defroster warm air leading passage is constructed by the seal wall, a warm air guide portion and an inner surface of an air conditioning case. The defroster warm air leading passage is formed in a space opposite to the seal surface of the seal wall at a downstream air side of the seal wall. Because cool air hardly flows through the space opposite to the seal surface of the seal wall and the defroster warm air leading passage is formed by effectively using the space, the size of the air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle can be reduced.
