A broiler oven has a heating chamber 2, first and second movable heaters 61 and 62 formed out of tubular heaters and rotatably supported by the inner walls of the heating chamber 2 in such a way that their heating portions 61b and 62b and their shaft portions 61a and 62a joined together so as to be parallel to each other by their arm portions 61c and 62c are held at an equal level, a driving mechanism 12 for rotating the shaft portions 61a and 62a, and a control circuit 10 for controlling the first and second movable heaters 61 and 62 and the driving mechanism 12. The control circuit 10 controls the driving mechanism 12 to rotate the first and second movable heaters 61 and 62 between a non-heating position and a heating position, and energizes the first and second movable heaters 61 and 62 when they are in the heating positions.

A dishwasher includes a cabinet having an opening, a door provided to open/close the cabinet opening, a washing chamber member provided in the cabinet and forming a washing chamber facing the opening, a washing nozzle provided facing in a certain direction of the washing chamber, a circulation pump coupled to the washing nozzle, the bottom portion of washing chamber and an external drain outlet, a driving source provided outside the washing chamber, a power transmission mechanism provided at a corner on one side in cabinet behind and outside the washing chamber, and a control circuit controlling the circulation pump and driving source. By the power transmitting mechanism, a dish washing basket placed in the washing chamber is rotated. Since the power transmitting mechanism is placed in a corner behind the washing chamber, the dishwasher can be made smaller.

A microwave oven door assembly that effectively saves assembly time and lowers cost by significantly reducing the number of the door component parts. By inserting a plurality of projections provided at the inner periphery of the choke cover into the inner door plate, both the choke cover and inner door plate are secured. In addition, by causing the projections formed on the choke cover to be coupled with openings formed in the front screen, the choke cover and the front screen are securely fixed together.

Microwave oven door

A unique structure of a door for a microwave oven having integrally assembled bent-members comprising: a choke cavity provided with a sectional slit along the external periphery of the door body for the prevention of microwaves from leakage to the outside; a metal contact part held in contact with part of the peripheral edge of the opening of the oven; and a punching portion securely covering the front surface of the opening of the oven.

A switching assembly of a heating appliance, for example, a microwave oven, wherein when the heating button is operated (depressed) with the door securely closed, the heating lever causes a projection to be engaged with a hook in the tip of the latch head and simultaneously causes the actuation of the heating switch. Thus the heating switch commonly functions as a heating switch and as a safety switch. By using such a mechanism, the heating switch which activates the heating operation commonly functions as a safety switch that activates itself when the door is securely closed. When the heating button is operated, a rotatable heating lever activates the heating switch, and simultaneously securely engages the latch heads with the front panel of the microwave oven. As a result, a switching assembly incorporating a highly reliable safety switch which can be securely locked by a simple mechanism is provided for a heating appliance.

A combined microwave and electric heater oven includes a fan system for cooling a magnetron, and a damper for selectively introducing a forced air flow generated by the fan system into an oven cavity. A damper cam is secured to a drive shaft of a damper motor, and a damper link is disposed between the damper cam and the damper to drive the damper. A microswitch is disposed near the damper cam so that the microswitch develops a first detection signal when the damper is tightly closed. In response to the first detection signal, the rotation of the damper motor is terminated to hold the damper in the tightly closed state. The microswitch develops a second detection signal when the damper is placed in the full-open state. In response to the second detection signal, the rotation of the damper motor is terminated to hold the damper in the full-open state.

A microwave oven comprising an oven housing, a door attached to the housing which can be operated between a closed and an opened position to provide access to the interior of said housing, a door latching assembly for securing the door in a closed position; said door latching assembly containing a locking element movably mounted on the door for locking the door in a closed position, and an unlocking element movably mounted on the door so as to shift the locking element and thereby unlock the door, and actuating means mounted on said oven housing, and operable when the door is locked to move the unlocking element to unlock the door.
