Battery cells may be heated safely and reliably. A power supply device includes a battery block () including battery cells including positive and negative electrodes at both ends, lead plate () connected to the positive and negative electrodes of the battery cells to electrically connect the battery cells, and a sheet heater () configured to heat the battery cells. The sheet heater () is thermally coupled and placed on one surface on the negative electrode of the battery cell via one of the lead plates ().

Power supply device comprising sheet heater to heat battery cells

The rack-type power supply device includes a plurality of battery modules each of which accommodates a plurality of secondary battery cells, a rack main body that vertically accommodates battery modules in a horizontal posture like a plurality of steps with gaps between the battery modules, and a plurality of cooling fans that are arranged on a front surface side of the rack main body and blow cooling air into the gaps between battery modules. The rack main body also includes a back-side duct in which cooling air having passed through the gaps flows upward on a back surface side of the battery modules. In addition, rack main body includes an air outlet for discharging cooling air having passed through the back-side duct on a top surface side. The cooling fan is disposed to be shifted from the gap between the battery modules in front view of the rack main body.

Rack-type power supply device

A battery pack includes a laminate battery having a built-in electrode held inside thereof by connecting a first sheathing film and a second sheathing film at lap sections thereof along outer peripheries of the electrode. A terminal substrate is disposed at the lap section and includes output terminals at a front surface side thereof. A substrate holder is disposed between a rear surface of the terminal substrate and the lap section, and a first metal plate is laminated on a first sheathing film side of the laminate battery. In the battery pack, the terminal substrate is supported by the substrate holder, the lap section, and the first metal plate, and the output terminals of the terminal substrate are disposed at positions so as to be brought closer to the same plane as a front surface of the second sheathing film.
