A display device includes: pixel electrodes; a first insulation layer having openings corresponding to the respective plurality of pixel electrodes, the first insulation layer being on each periphery of the plurality of pixel electrodes; a second insulation layer on an upper surface of the first insulation layer except for a part thereof; and an electroluminescence layer including light-emitting layers overlapping with the pixel electrodes. Each of the light-emitting layers and another one of the light-emitting layers in different light-emitting colors are adjacent to each other, constituting a pair of different-color-emitting layers. The openings include a pair of different-color openings that overlap with the respective pair of different-color-emitting layers. The second insulation layer is at least between the pair of different-color openings and is adjacent to each of the pair of different-color openings entirely along mutually opposed sides of the pair of different-color openings.

Display device and manufacturing method therefor

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display region where pixels are arranged. Each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode, a light emitting element, a drive transistor, a first capacitance electrode layer opposed to the pixel electrode and held at a constant potential, and an insulating layer forming an auxiliary capacitance together with the pixel electrode and the first capacitance electrode layer. A value of the auxiliary capacitance of the first pixel, of the values of the auxiliary capacitance of the pixels is the largest.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes first wiring layers, a second wiring layer, a first insulating layer, first mounting electrodes, a second mounting electrode, a first light emitting element and a second light emitting element. The second mounting electrode is arranged to surround a first mounting electrode and an other first mounting electrode. The first light emitting element is mounted across the first mounting electrode and the second mounting electrode. The second light emitting element is mounted across the other first mounting electrode and the second mounting electrode. The second mounting electrode is electrically connected to the second wiring layer through a second opening of the first insulating layer, in a non-display area.

A drive circuit includes a holding capacitor, an element capacitor, and an additional capacitor interposed between one of the source and the drain, and one of the high-potential line and the low-potential line. The drive circuit configured to drive the first light emitter includes a first element capacitor as the element capacitor and a first additional capacitor as the additional capacitor. The driving circuit configured to drive the second light emitter includes a second element capacitor as the element capacitor and a second additional capacitor as the additional capacitor. Provided is a display device including: a capacitor having a first electrode, a first insulating film over the first electrode, and a second electrode over the first insulating film; and a first transistor over the capacitor. The first transistor includes the second electrode a second insulating film over the second electrode, an oxide semiconductor film over the second insulating film, and a first source electrode and a first drain electrode over the oxide semiconductor film. The first source electrode and the first drain electrode are electrically connected to the oxide semiconductor film.

Circuit substrate

Provided is a display device including a plurality of pixels at least one of which has a first transistor and a light-emitting element. The first transistor includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film over the gate electrode, an oxide semiconductor film over the gate insulating film, and a first terminal and a second terminal electrically connected to the semiconductor film. The second terminal is electrically connected to the light-emitting element. A region in which the first terminal overlaps with the gate electrode can be smaller than a region in which the second terminal overlaps with the gate electrode.

Pixel circuit

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display area and a driver. Each of pixels includes a light emitting element and a drive transistor connected in series. An image signal includes a first luminance data and a second luminance data. The first luminance data is based on an average value of a gradation value of pixels, and is common among the pixels included in said one area. The second luminance data is, based on a difference between the gradation value and the average value, an independent luminance data of each of the pixels. The driver controls a common luminance time of the pixels based on the first luminance data, and controls a current value to be supplied to the luminance element of each of the pixels based on the second luminance data.

Display device and driving method for display device

Provided is a display device including: a capacitor having a first electrode, a first insulating film over the first electrode, and a second electrode over the first insulating film; and a first transistor over the capacitor. The first transistor includes the second electrode, a second insulating film over the second electrode, an oxide semiconductor film over the second insulating film, and a first source electrode and a first drain electrode over the oxide semiconductor film. Disclosed is a display device including: a driving transistor, a first switching transistor, and a pixel transistor each having a gate and a pair of terminals; a storage capacitor having a pair of terminals; and a light-emitting element having an input terminal and an output terminal. One terminal of the driving transistor is electrically connected to one terminal of the pixel transistor. The other terminal of the driving transistor is electrically connected to one terminal of the first switching transistor and the input terminal of the light-emitting element. The other terminal of the first switching transistor is electrically connected to the gate of the driving transistor and one terminal of the capacitor. The one terminal of the capacitor overlaps with an active region of the driving transistor.
