According to one embodiment, a nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain an X-ray CT image relating to a subject. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain a camera image capturing a position and a shape of the subject corresponding to the X-ray CT image. The processing circuitry is configured to generate an attenuation map based on the camera image and the X-ray CT image. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain detection data based on gamma rays radiating from a radiation source administered into the subject. The processing circuitry is configured to reconstruct an image based on the attenuation map and the detection data.

According to one embodiment, a nuclear medical diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires gamma-ray emission data based on gamma rays emitted from radio isotopes administered to an object. The processing circuitry further executes scattered-ray correction on the gamma-ray emission data based on a second X-ray CT image obtained by replacing pixel values of a non-object region included in a first X-ray CT image with a predetermined pixel value.

The accepting unit accepts the setting of two coordinates in a stereoscopic image of a subject displayed on a stereoscopic image display device. According to one embodiment, a photon-counting apparatus includes an X-ray tube, an X-ray detector, a support mechanism, setting circuitry and data acquisition circuitry. The X-ray detector is configured to repetitively detect an X-ray photon generated by the X-ray tube, and repetitively generate an electrical signal corresponding to the repetitively detected X-ray photon. The support mechanism is configured to support the X-ray tube to be rotatable about a rotation axis. Setting circuitry configured to set one of a time length of a readout period and a readout cycle per unit time for the electrical signal. Data acquisition circuitry is configured to count a count number of electrical signals from the X-ray detector in accordance with the set one of the time length and readout cycle.

An image processing system according to the present embodiment includes a generating unit and a display controlling unit. The generating unit generates a group of different types of parallax image sets that are to three-dimensionally display an object onto the display surface of the displaying unit, from different types of three-dimensional medical image data generated by performing different types of image processing onto imaging data of the object collected by a medical image diagnosis apparatus. The display controlling unit performs control so that display conditions of the group of different types of parallax image sets are switched in accordance with the switching of the viewpoint position around the object displayed on the display surface and that the group of different types of parallax image sets are superimposed and displayed.

An image processing system according to an embodiment includes a stereoscopic display apparatus, a rendering processor, and a display controller. The stereoscopic display apparatus displays a stereoscopic image enabled for a stereoscopic vision using a plurality of parallax images. The rendering processor generates a plurality of parallax images by applying a rendering process to volume data that is three-dimensional medical image data from a plurality of viewpoint positions having different relative positions with respect to the volume data. According to the present embodiment, an image diagnosis apparatus includes a first image taking device that takes an image of a patient placed on a couchtop by using an X-ray emission; a second image taking device that takes images in positions by moving an image taking position of the patient by a predetermined distance at a time, along the body-axis direction; a position estimating unit; and a correction processing unit. The position estimating unit estimates a couchtop position for each of the image taking positions of the second image taking device, based on information about warping of the couchtop of the first image taking device. The detector detects annihilation radiation released from a subject. The coincidence counting information generating unit searches for sets of counting information, which counted a pair of annihilation radiations at substantially the same time, from a counting information list that is generated from output signals of the detector; generates a set of coincidence counting information for each retrieved set of counting information; and generates a time series list of coincidence counting information. Based on the time series list of coincidence counting information, the body movement detecting unit detects temporal changes in the body movement of the subject.

According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a reconstructing unit, a first control unit, a detecting unit, a generating unit, and a second control unit. The first control unit controls the reconstructing unit to reconstruct first images based on projection data collected in first periods. The detecting unit detects second periods which belong to pulsation cycles different from one another and in which an organ to be imaged is in the substantially same form, based on the first images. The generating unit generates data for reconstruction including projection data for the required angle range by combining projection data collected in third periods close to the second periods.
