Provided is a connector mountable on a board. The connector comprises a plurality of contacts, a housing holding the contacts, and a monitored member attached to the housing. The monitored member comprises a marker portion and an abutment portion brought into abutment with the board when the connector is mounted on the board in a vertical direction. The abutment portion is apart from the marker portion by a predetermined distance in the vertical direction. The height of the housing is indirectly measured by investigating a position of the marker portion.

Connector

A terminal portion of a contact has a first portion extending from a one-side surface of an insulator, a second portion extending so as to be connected to a conductive portion of a board, and a third portion joining between the first and second portions. The second portion is bent using a joining portion between the second and third portions and as a fulcrum. The third portion is bent using, as a fulcrum, a joining portion between the first and third portions and in a direction away from the board toward the joining portion between the second and third portions.
