An inner latent image type silver halide photographic emulsion which is spectrally sensitized by adding at least one cyanine dye represented by general formula (II) to a direct positive inner latent image type silver halide photographic emulsion and thereafter adding additionally at least one cyanine dye represented by general formula (I) to said emulsion ##STR1## (the symbols are as defined in the appended claims). A remarkable increase of spectral sensitivity, an increase of maximum density and a decrease of minimum density can be obtained by this silver halide photographic emulsion.

A photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having provided thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer in combination with an immobile LDA compound represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein n, x, y and z each stands for an integer of 1 or 2; m stands for an integer of 1 or more; D stands for a group containing an electron donor or its precursor moiety; A stands for an organic group linking Nup to --E--Q--Col or D; Nup stands for a precursor of a nucleophilic group; E stands for an electrophilic center; Q is a divalent group; Col stands for a group containing a dye or its precursor moiety; Ball stands for a ballast group; L stands for a linking group; and M stands for an optional substituent, said LDA compound being capable of releasing a diffusible dye or its precursor upon redox reaction.

Photographic light-sensitive material with nucleophilic displacement dye

An inner latent image type silver halide photographic emulsion which is spectrally sensitized by adding at least one monomethine cyanine dye represented by general formula (II) to a direct positive inner latent image type silver halide photographic emulsion and thereafter adding additionally at least one monomethine cyanine dye represented by general formula (I) to said emulsion ##STR1## (the symbols are as defined in the appended claims). A remarkable increase of spectral sensitivity, an increase of maximum density and a decrease of minimum density can be obtained by this silver halide photographic emulsion.

A color diffusion transfer process light-sensitive element is disclosed. The element is comprised of a support having coated thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer which is associated with a dye image-providing compound. The dye image-providing compound is dispersed in a copresent state with a compound represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein the substituents within the general formula (I) are defined within the specification. The element has improved maximum image density and by utilizing the compound of the general formula (I) it is possible to obtain improved dispersion stability.

Color diffusion transfer light-sensitive element with amine solvent

A color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a compound encompassed by one of two general formulae which are specifically disclosed. The compound associated with the silver halide emulsion layer is an azo dye image-forming compound which provides a yellow dye image having excellent transferability and light fastness. The azo dye image forming compound is particularly suitable for use in a photographic material for a color diffusion transfer process. The disclosed material is capable of providing a transferred dye image with a high maximum image density (D.sub.max), a low minimum background density (D.sub.min), a good gradation and excellent color hue.

Color photographic light-sensitive material with azopyrazolone image dyes

2-Arylnaphtho[1,8-bc]furan-5-ones represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein G represents a substituted phenyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted 1-naphthyl group and an unsubstituted or substituted 2-naphthyl group, with the substituents being selected from the group consisting of a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a straight chain or branched chain alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and a halogen atom; are disclosed as well as photopolymerizable compositions containing at least one of the above compounds as a photopolymerization initiator for addition polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compounds.

2-Arylnaphtho[1,8-BC]furan-5-ones

A heat developable light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive layer containing (1) an oxidation-reduction image-forming combination of (a) a silver salt oxidizing agent and (b) a reducing agent and (2) a catalytic amount of a light-sensitive silver halide or a compound capable of reacting with the silver salt (a) to form a light-sensitive silver halide, the light-sensitive layer further containing (3) at least one specific phthalazinone compound. The development of the above light-sensitive material is carried out simply by heating the material at a temperature of about 90.degree. to 180.degree. C. for 1 to 60 seconds after imagewise exposure. An image of black tone can be obtained without contaminating the developing machine.

Heat developable light-sensitive material

A heat developable light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon or therein at least (a) an organic silver salt, (b) a light-sensitive silver halide or a light-sensitive silver halide-forming component and (c) as a reducing agent at least one ester selected from the group consisting of (1) esters of carboxylic acids derived from phenol derivatives in which at least one of the o-positions thereof is substituted, preferably substituted with a bulky group, and mono- or poly-hydric alcohols, and (2) esters of alcohols derived from polyhydric phenols in which at least one of the o-positions thereof is substituted, preferably substituted with a bulky group, and mono- or polycarboxylic acids, to reduce the thermal fog produced at the background after heat development processing, and to increase the whiteness of the unexposed areas and the stability to normal room illumination.

Heat-developable light-sensitive material

A heat-developable photosensitive material which comprises a support having one or more layers thereon containing at least (a) an organic silver salt, (b) a catalytic amount of a photosensitive silver halide or a component capable of forming a photosensitive silver halide, (c) a reducing agent and (d) at least one of an inorganic peroxide and a peroxodisulfate.

Heat-developable photosensitive materials

A thermally developable photosensitive material comprising a support having thereon in one or more layers, (a) an organic silver salt, (b) a catalytic amount of a photosensitive silver halide or a compound capable of forming photosensitive silver halide, (c) a reducing agent, (d) a binder and (e) at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each is an alkyl group or an aralkyl group; and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a chloroanilino group, a benzyloxy group, a 2-oxo-1-(N-phenylcarbamoyl)propyl group or a substituted phenyl group having one or more of a chlorine atom, an alkyl group, an amino group, an alkylamino group and a dialkylamino group as substituents; the following general formula (II), ##STR2## wherein R.sub.4 is a ##STR3## group, a ##STR4## group or a --NH(CH.sub.2).sub.n --NH-- group; and n is an integer of 1 to 5; or the following general formula (III), ##STR5## wherein R.sub.5 is an aryl group, a 3-pyridyl group or a 2-thienyl group, and X is --S--, --O-- or --NH--.

A heat-developable light-sensitive material which comprises a support containing therein or in one or more layers thereon at least (a) an organic silver salt; (b) a light-sensitive silver halide or a component capable of forming a light-sensitive silver halide on reaction with the organic silver salt; (c) a reducing agent, and (d) a 2-thiouracil.
