A chip inductor is constructed by alternately laminating plural conductor patterns and plural insulating layers on and above a ceramic substrate, and connecting the plural conductor patterns to each other in series in a lamination direction thereof so as to constitute a coil. Specifically, the number of turns of the lowermost conductor pattern disposed directly on the ceramic substrate is larger than the number of turns of the other plural conductor patterns and the number of turns of the other plural conductor patterns are substantially equal to each other. Preferably, the number of turns of the lowermost conductor pattern is about 1.5 times the number of turns of the other plural conductor patterns.

Chip inductor and method for manufacturing the same

A conductor pattern is constructed to prevent corners from peeling and raising off a substrate. The conductor pattern has a spiral configuration and includes straight lines and corners connected to the straight lines. The bottom surface cross-sectional width of the conductor pattern is smaller than the top surface cross-sectional width thereof. Moreover, the bottom surface cross-sectional width of the corner is larger than the bottom surface cross-sectional width of the straight line.

Conductor pattern and electronic component having the same

A laminated LC component has no directivity in terms of mounting and characteristics. A first set of coil conductors are electrically connected in series so as to define a first helical coil. A second set of coil conductors are also electrically connected in series so as to define a second helical coil. Capacitor electrodes are disposed such that they face each other with an insulating sheet disposed between the capacitor electrodes thereby forming a capacitor. The capacitor electrode at the ground side has a substantially cross shape and four ends of the substantially cross-shaped capacitor electrode are exposed at four respective sides of the insulating sheet. The insulating sheets are stacked on one another and fired so as to define a single unitary laminated block. Input/output electrodes are provided on the two respective ends of the laminated block and an external ground electrode is formed, at the center of the four side surfaces, in the shape of a band extending along a circumference of the laminated block. The four ends of the capacitor ground electrode are electrically connected, at the four side surfaces of the laminated block, to the external ground electrode.

Laminated LC component with rotationally symmetric capacitor electrodes

A multilayer noise filter includes a damping resistor which is arranged to control the distortion of the waveform of an output signal and eliminate a space required for installation of the damping resistor on a substrate upon which the filter is mounted. The axial direction of coils incorporated in inductor assemblies is substantially perpendicular to external input and output electrodes. One end of one coil is electrically connected to the external input electrode and one end of another coil is electrically connected to the external output electrode. The other ends of the coils are electrically connected to a resistor at different locations, respectively. The resistor connecting the external input and output electrodes is disposed on the top surface of a multilayer unit such that the resistor is substantially parallel to the stacking direction of the multilayer unit and the axial direction of the coils. In a capacitor assembly, a pair of capacitor conductors are arranged to face each other.

Multilayer noise filter including integral damping resistor

An LC filter is disclosed which exhibits excellent attenuation characteristics in a high-frequency range and substantially preserves its self-inductance and Q-factor. The LC filter is constructed of a laminated block formed by laminating insulating sheets each provided with a coil conductor. The coil conductors are connected in series to each other through via-holes to form a coil. Input/output external electrodes and ground external electrodes are disposed on the surfaces of the laminated block. The insulating sheets are laminated in a direction perpendicular to the input/output external electrodes and parallel to the mounting surface. The coil is axially placed perpendicular to the input/output external electrodes and parallel to the ground external electrodes and the mounting surface. A distributed capacitance is generated between the coil and each of the ground external electrodes to form a capacitor.

LC filter with a parallel ground electrode

A laminate type LC composite device which has two coil sections each of which is a laminate of coil conductors and insulating sheets and a capacitor section which is a laminate of capacitor conductors and dielectric sheets. The LC composite device has at least two coils, and the coils are coiled in mutually opposite directions.

Laminate type LC composite device having coils with opposing directions

A laminate type LC composite device has a coil connected in series between an input electrode and an output electrode, and a capacitor connected in parallel between the input electrode and the output electrode. Further, a micro coil is connected to the coil in series. The coil has an inductance of L and a stray capacitance of C, and the micro coil has an inductance of L' and a stray capacitance of C'. The inductances L and L', and the stray capacitances C and C' fulfill the conditions: LC&gt;L'C', to thereby increase the high-frequency characteristics and the insertion loss in a high frequency area of the LC composite device.
