In a wheel suspension for a motor vehicle which comprises a subframe arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and having a pair of laterally spaced front end portions to be fastened to the vehicle chassis and a pair of laterally spaced rear end portions to be fastened to the vehicle chassis, and a pair of suspension arms each base portion of which has a front end articulated to the respective front end portions of the subframe and a rear end to be articulated to the respective rear end portions of the subframe, a pair of brackets each are preliminarily fastened at their base portions to the rear end portions of the subframe to support each rear end base portion of the suspension arms articulated thereto and fastened at their base portions to the vehicle chassis through the rear end portions of the subframe and at their end portions to the vehicle chassis.

Wheel suspension for motor vehicle

A bushing structure in a vehicle suspension system including a support secured to a vehicle chassis or an axle housing, a fulcrum shaft supported by the support and rotatably supporting the bushing structure, and a suspension arm pivotally connected to the bushing structure. The bushing structure comprises an outer metal fitting connected to the suspension member, an inner cylindrical metal member in which the fulcrum shaft is inserted, and an annular resilient member secured to the outer periphery of the inner cylindrical metal member and press-fitted in the outer metal fitting together with the inner cylindrical member. The bushing structure further comprises a plurality of radial stop rings positioned within the annular resilient member in spaced relation with one another axially of the annular resilient member. The bushing structure may preferably further comprise one or two annular axial stop members each including a stop ring embedded therein. The axial stop member is positioned on the respective end portion of the resilient member. The annular resilient member in a preferred form of the bushing structure has a plurality of annular grooves formed outwardly of the radial stop rings.

Bushing structure in a vehicle suspension system

A bushing assembly incorporated in an eye of a suspension arm for an automobile includes a cylindrical member, a cylindrical rubber bushing adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the member and press fitted in the eye, and a cylindrical insert embedded in the bushing. The bushing is provided on each end with a flange extending radially outward and contacting each end surface of the eye when the bushing has been fitted in the eye.

Bushing assembly for suspension arm

Disclosed herein is a system for releasing a clutch through clutch cables in an automobile having an engine which is connected to a clutch housing containing a clutch release fork and a clutch pedal. The clutch cables comprise an outer cable which is located forwardly of an exhaust pipe of the engine and an inner cable which extends longitudinally through the outer cable. The outer cable is secured to the body of the automobile and to the engine at one end and at the other end respectively, while the inner cable is connected to the clutch pedal and to the clutch release fork at one end outwardly extending from the one end of the outer cable and at the other end outwardly extending from the other end of the outer cable respectively. By virtue of this construction, the outer cable is protected from the high temperature of the exhaust pipe, and there is no relative displacement between the other end of the outer cable and the inner cable when the clutch is not worked.

Mechanical clutch release system

A brake tube protector for use in vehicles to protect the brake tube, which is led or arranged axially along the external periphery of the rear axle housing, from being damaged by impact with or striking by other members or materials. The protector is made of an elongated rectangular steel plate by press-working in such a manner as to form a pair of parallel longitudinal ribs on both sides thereof and thereby to be of substantially Roman M letter configuration in its cross-sectional view, and is to efficiently protect the brake tube which is accommodated in a channel formed between the pair of ribs.
