Provided are: a polycarbonate-based resin composition, including a polycarbonate-based resin (A) containing a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A1) having a predetermined structure, and 0.1 part by mass or more to 40 parts by mass or less of a white pigment (B) with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polycarbonate-based resin (A), wherein the white pigment (B) has an organic layer on a surface thereof, and a highest peak temperature of an evolved gas analysis curve of the organic layer obtained by evolved gas analysis with a pyrolysis gas chromatograph apparatus and a FID detector is 390&#xb0; C. or more; and a molded article thereof.

A propylenic polymer according to the present invention or a composition thereof have an excellent melt flowability and contains a less amount of stickiness-causing components, and also has a low modulus and is pliable, and is capable of providing a transparent molded article, thus being useful as a substitute for a pliable vinyl chloride resin. In addition, a molded article made therefrom exhibits an excellent heat seal performance at a low temperature, and is excellent in terms of transparency and rigidity. Specifically, it has an isotactic pentad fraction (mmmm), which indicates a stereoregulariry, of 30 to 80%, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 3.5 or less and an intrinsic viscosity [&#x3b7;] of 0.8 to 5 dl/g.

A propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene and an &agr;-olefin with at least 4 carbon atoms, which is produced through polymerization in the presence of a metallocene catalyst and which has an increased isotactic pentad fraction and a reduced molecular weight distribution; and also a propylene-based polymer composition as prepared by adding a nucleating agent to the homopolymer or the copolymer are superior to conventional polymers and polymer compositions, as they have well-balanced toughness and heat-sealability, and are not sticky, and, in addition, they have excellent anti-blocking properties. Their films especially those for wrapping and packaging edibles are tough and have excellent anti-blocking properties, and high film impact resistance. The polymer and the polymer composition have good moldability.
