A tire testing method includes: applying a lubrication solution to a bead part of a tire; detecting a phase of a reference point of the tire; detecting a phase of a rotation origin of a spindle at common coordinates shared with coordinates at which the phase of the reference point is indicated; detecting a singular point present on the tire by conducting a tire test while rotating the tire on the spindle, and detecting a phase from the rotation origin to the singular point; calculating a phase from the reference point to the singular point based on the phase of the reference point, the phase of the rotation origin, and the phase from the rotation origin to the singular point; storing information about the reference point and information about the rotation origin at the common coordinates; and marking the tire at a position where the singular point is present.

A tire uniformity testing apparatus () measures uniformity of a tire (T) by measuring a load generated on the tire (T) pressed against a rotating rotary drum (). A load model used to control a pressing position of the rotary drum () and express a relation between the pressing position of the tire (T) against the rotary drum () and a tire load generated in the tire (T) is configured to successively measure the tire load, while changing the pressing position of the tire (T) against the rotary drum (), and to estimate the tire load using the measured value of the measured tire load.

Method for estimating load model in tire uniformity tester

In a tire uniformity testing apparatus which measures uniformity of a tire by measuring a load applied to the tire pressed against a rotary drum, a load estimation model is generated which is used to control a pressing position of the rotary drum, and generates a load estimation model indicating a relation between the pressing position of the tire with respect to the rotary drum and the load applied to the tire. The load estimation model is generated by: holding the tire in which uniformity has already been measured for each characteristic value; acquiring a nominal model depending on the characteristic value of the tire; and generating based on the acquired nominal model.

Method for generating load estimation model in tire uniformity tester

A tire and a drum are relatively moved so that a pressing load is increased, and stopped when the pressing load becomes a predetermined value lower than a target value. A value of the pressing load and a relative distance between the tire and the drum are measured at timings when a circumferential position of the tire is the same. A dynamic longitudinal spring constant of the tire is calculated by using change amounts of the pressing load and the relative distance. An adjustment amount serving as a distance by which the tire and the drum are relatively moved so that a value of the pressing load when relative movement is stopped becomes the target value is calculated by using the dynamic longitudinal spring constant and a difference between the arrival value and the target value. The tire and the drum are relatively moved by the adjustment amount.

Pressing load setting method of tire testing machine

A tire testing machine of the present invention performs tests on a tire in a testing station, and prints a mark based on the test result in a predetermined mark position of the tire after undergoing the tests by means of a marking device. A controller of the tire testing machine previously stores therein the contents of the tests for performing the tests, and causes the testing machine to perform the tests according to a recipe. In order to freely set the marking setting conditions for marking in the marking device, the controller of the marking device previously stores therein a first marking setting condition as the recipe, and also stores therein a second marking setting condition different from the recipe by an input device as a script. Marking is performed according to the contents of the marking setting condition described in either the recipe or script selected.
