A video display device includes: a display panel that displays an image based on an input image signal; a light source substrate that includes a plurality of light sources on a main surface which is a front side of the light source substrate, and emits, toward a rear side of the display panel, light emitted from the plurality of light sources; a reflection sheet that is provided on the main surface of the light source substrate, and in which hollow partitioning walls each of which separates adjacent two light sources of the plurality of light sources are formed; and an optical member that has a plate shape, is provided between the display panel and the light source substrate, and uniformizes luminance distribution of the light emitted from the light source substrate. The reflection sheet extends to an outside of an outer peripheral edge of the optical member as viewed from the front side.

Video display device

A video display device includes: a display panel that displays an image based on an input image signal; a light source substrate that includes a plurality of light sources on a main surface which is a front side of the light source substrate, and emits, toward a rear side of the display panel, light emitted from the plurality of light sources; a reflection sheet that is provided on the main surface of the light source substrate, and in which hollow partitioning walls each of which separates adjacent two light sources of the plurality of light sources are formed; an optical member that is provided between the display panel and the light source substrate, and uniformizes luminance distribution of the light emitted from the light source substrate; and support members each of which is provided between the light source substrate and the optical member, and supports the optical member. The reflection sheet includes intersection portions where the partitioning walls formed in a first direction and the partitioning walls formed in a second direction crossing the first direction cross each other, and further includes linear portions formed in parallel with the first direction or the second direction. Each of the support members is disposed in a recess portion formed in a corresponding linear portion.

A backlight device includes a plurality of light sources arranged in a shape of a matrix, a reflective sheet having partition walls arranged to surround each of the plurality of light sources in four directions and reflecting light emitted from the plurality of light sources, a luminance uniformity plate located above the reflective sheet and uniforming luminance of the light emitted from the plurality of light sources and light reflected by the reflective sheet, and a support member supporting the luminance uniformity plate. The reflective sheet has an opening portion in a portion, of at least one partition wall of the partition walls arranged in the four directions, which is other than four corners, and the support member has a shield portion disposed in the opening portion and shielding the opening portion.

Backlight device and liquid-crystal display device

A video display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, and light source substrates configured to illuminate the liquid crystal display panel from a rear side of the liquid crystal display panel. Each of the light source substrates includes a plurality of light emitting diodes each of which is provided in corresponding one of areas different from each other in the liquid crystal display panel, and driver elements which drive each of the plurality of light emitting diodes such that light is emitted with luminance corresponding to brightness within a corresponding area of an image in accordance with a control signal. First conductive foil is disposed on a first main surface of the light source substrate on which the light emitting diodes are provided. Second conductive foil is disposed on a second main surface of the light source substrate on a side opposite to the first main surface. Ground pattern foil is disposed as the second conductive foil on the second main surface in regions each of which includes a corresponding one of the plurality of light emitting diodes in a plan view. The first conductive foil and the second conductive foil have a substantially equivalent area.

Image display device

A video display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, and a plurality of light source substrates configured to illuminate the liquid crystal display panel from a rear side of the liquid crystal display panel. Each of the plurality of light source substrates includes a signal input connector that receives a control signal, a plurality of light emitting diodes each of which is provided in correspondence with a corresponding one of areas different from each other in the liquid crystal display panel, a driver element that drives each of the plurality of light emitting diodes in accordance with the control signal such that each of the plurality of light emitting diodes emits light with luminance corresponding to brightness of the corresponding area of an image, and a signal output connector that through-outputs the control signal. The signal output connector of a first light source substrate included in the plurality of light source substrates, and the signal input connector of a second light source substrate included in the plurality of light source substrates are electrically connected.

Image display device including multiple light source substrates

A video display device includes: a display panel that displays an image based on an image signal; a light source substrate disposed on a rear side of the display panel; a plurality of light emitting elements each of which is attached to a surface of the light source substrate on a side toward the display panel to emit light to the display panel; a reflection sheet; and driver elements that drive each of the plurality of light emitting elements. Partitioning wall portions are formed in the reflection sheet, each of partitioning wall portions separates adjacent ones of the light emitting elements, and expands toward the display panel. The reflection sheet covers the surface of the light source substrate on the side toward the display panel except for portions provided with the light emitting elements. Each of the driver elements is attached to the surface of the light source substrate on the side toward the display panel in a portion surrounded by the corresponding partitioning wall portions.

A backlight device includes a plurality of light sources arranged in a shape of a matrix, a reflective sheet having partition walls arranged to surround each of the plurality of light sources in four directions and reflecting light emitted from the plurality of light sources, a luminance uniformity plate located above the reflective sheet and uniforming luminance of the light emitted from the plurality of light sources and light reflected by the reflective sheet, and a diffuser panel located above the luminance uniformity plate and diffusing light exiting from the luminance uniformity plate. A gap between the partition wall and the luminance uniformity plate is 5% to 30% of an optical distance defined by a distance between the reflective sheet and, the diffuser panel, and a gap between the luminance uniformity plate and the diffuser panel is not greater than 50% of the optical distance.

Backlight device and liquid crystal display device

A display device includes: a display panel that displays an image; a plurality of mount boards having long-length shaped disposed along the display panel; and light emitting elements arrayed on each of the plurality of mount boards in a longitudinal direction of each of the plurality of mount boards. The light emitting elements emit light toward the display panel from behind the display panel, and are arranged in a matrix shape along the display panel. The display device further includes: a back surface board on which the plurality of mount boards is stuck by an adhesive member; and a reflective sheet mounted to the back surface board. The reflective sheet has holes that allow the light emitting elements to pass through at positions corresponding to the light emitting elements, and reflects the light emitted from the light emitting elements toward the display panel. Each of the plurality of mount boards is constituted of a flexible wiring board.

Display device including a plurality of flexible LED mounting boards

A video display device includes a display panel that displays an image based on an image signal, and a light source substrate disposed on a rear side of the display panel. The light source substrate includes a plurality of light emitting elements disposed on a surface of the light source substrate on a side toward the display panel, and a plurality of driver elements that are disposed on the same surface of the light source substrate as the surface to which the plurality of light emitting elements are attached, and drive each of the plurality of light emitting elements.

A backlight device includes: a reflection sheet having a reflection surface which is divided into a plurality of reflection regions by a plurality of partitions that are each a ridge-shaped projection; light sources disposed in the respective reflection regions; a luminance uniformizing plat that transmits light incident from a first surface opposed to the reflection surface, and emits the light from the second surface; and a diffusion plate that diffuses and emits the light emitted from the second surface. The luminance uniformizing plate includes a high light-transmittance region between a region opposed to each of the light sources and a region opposed to a vertex portion of a corresponding one of the plurality of partitions, the high light-transmittance region being higher in light-transmittance per unit area than the region opposed to the light source and the region opposed to the vertex portion.

Backlight device and liquid crystal display apparatus

A display device includes a display panel, a plurality of light-emitting sources arranged in a matrix and mounted on a back plate to project light towards the display panel, a reflection sheet attached to the back plate and having holes into which the light-emitting sources are inserted, and a plurality of protrusions formed on the back plate for causing portions of the reflection sheet to bulge out toward the display panel.

A liquid crystal panel module of a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel on its front side and an EEFL backlight on its back side within a metal frame. A metal chassis is arranged at the center of the metal frame on the back surface of the liquid crystal panel module. A power supply circuit board and a video signal processing board are mounted on the metal chassis. An inverter board is arranged on the metal frame near one side of the metal frame on the back surface. The power supply circuit board includes a noise filter, an active filter and an isolation transformer. The inverter board includes a step-up transformer.
